Love the bag.
I don’t like to write reviews when I first receive a product so this is a review after using this bag for more than a year. I have been using this as my daily work backpack / camera bag / travel bag. It has been traveling with me all over the world. Very durable and stylish backpack. I have no complaints.

Great backpack for international travel!
This bag was great for my three week trip to Africa - both inland and the coast. It fit exactly what I needed: my camera, multiple lenses, cleaners, and additional supplies in the bottom portion while I was also able to carry all of my tech necessities like chargers, extra batteries, headphones, a book, sunglasses, snacks, sunscreen, and bug spray in the top while still managing to close. With all of this was it a tight fit? Yes. But, it did exactly what I needed it to do, and after purchasing and returning about 7 other backpack options before finally caving and sacrificing close to $300 for this one? It was actually worth it.Some days on my trip I took the bottom camera sling bag out and carried it on its own, there is a small zippered slot on the top side of it that conveniently fit my travel wallet so going in to any local markets or shopping areas made for easy access to what I needed instead of carrying everything. The back opening was also a big comfort as I was traveling alone and added some extra security. There is a laptop sleeve along the back as well, I would say if your backpack is pretty full inside that you wont be able to utilize this sleeve without feeling like your camera is being squeezed or squished, even with it being padded. I was able to fit my folder with my travel documents in that sleeve but it was still a very tight fit.I would say a downside is that my water bottle did not fit in the side pockets but with a quick caribiner fix it clipped on to one of the outer loops on the front. Another issue is getting the sling pack back into the bag is a harder fit and never seems to be quite right but zips in just fine.Definitely a keeper for international travel and saved space and time on my 3 weeks away and 26+ hours of travel back home! And in the end, none of my gear was damaged.

Best camera bag I own and I have a bunch!!
I love how versatile this bag is. The smaller day pack that fits inside may be removed and the bag used for purposes other than camera grear. The side pockets allow easy access to two cameras or camera and additional lens while on the go. You can also add a cube to hold multiple cameras or many additional lenses and still have room for clothing and snacks. The only thing I’d change would be a thicker and padded waist belt to support all the weight of the bag.

fiddly and bulky
This bag is full of good ideas, but in the end was too annoying to use generally. the bag is big and heavy, but the padded pouch volume is not actually the that large. side straps do not connect securely. overall just not worth it and I ended up using a lighter backpack with a larger volume.

Great bag
I was skeptical at first but after using the bag for a week on my recent cruise to Alaska, it's very functional. One of my big hang ups when I first got was the roll top vs. a zipper. That is not an issue at all. In fact, I really like the roll top. The removable camara bag is a nice option although I found it was a bit awkward when carried on it's own. That being said, it still gives you that flexibility which I love. Overall I'm very pleased with the bag.

Disappointing
Pros: I love the concept of the removable camera cube that you can double as a sling bag. I searched high and low and did not find another bag that did anything like this and provided the same amount of space for your gear, and especially not in the cool form of a sling bag. You can literally strap it to your chest while wearing the backpack and it would just count as a personal item when traveling. Hence you can pack most if not all of your backpack with clothes while still keeping your camera gear in your "personal item sling bag." I know someone ppl would just rather buy a huge 45L carry on, but who wants to carry a bulky bag with them when they arrive at their destination. The thule convert on it's own is a fine daypack.Cons: If you look closely at the photos on the website, which I did not do, you'll see that where the strap connects to the camera cube bag there is just a small strip of fabric. Are you freaking kidding me?!?!? Almost $300 for a bag and they can't make a connector more sturdy than that?!? Imagine putting 4 thousand dollars worth of gear in this bag and the only thing keeping it from crashing into the ground is a thin strip of fabric maybe 1/4" wide at most. Thule has great customer service, but that's only for their bags. They're not going replace all my damaged gear when it falls on the ground. Another thing about the sling bag cube I wanted to mention is that it's not nearly as roomy as the photos make it seem. In it you see a dslr with a large L lens being neatly placed inside, but when i tried that i had to jam it in and it looked nothing like the photo. The dividers were bent and twisted and accessing and stowing away a a dslr through the side side panel would not be convenient, which defeats the whole purpose of side access. The padded back panel is made of a nice material, but it's thinly padded. if you don't think that will bother you with a max load then this shouldn't be an issue for you. I think maybe this is up to personal preference. When you place a laptop in the back panel it can get kind of stiff. There's also no airflow because it's completely flat. Again, for nearly $300 I think a little more forethought into comfort should have been a consideration.
