Q: Is it good for cutting sheet metal? Cutting 1/16" sheets of steel. (1.5mm thick / 16 gauge). Also cutting 1"x 3" and tubular profiles, 1/16" thin.

It would cut the 1x3 no problem at all. The 16 gauge it might be to aggressive and tear vs cut. They make shears that are specific for that kind of gauge metal. Hope this helps!
