Personally, I think the 200 calories they have are "well spent," although I prefer the dark chocolate with nuts with only 5 g of sugar. I generally eat one mid morning and feel satisfied and well nourished till my 1:00 lunch hour. For many, including myself, a diet high in good fats such as in nuts, coconut, and avocado facilitates calorie burn. Cutting out essential fatty acids needed for fat metabolism is bound to make it more difficult to lose weight. I also find that a low fat diet leaves my skin and hair dry, brittle and lifeless, and results in fatigue and an out-of-control appetite. I do keep my calories at about 1200 to lose weight, but there is room for these delicious bars in my plan. Best of luck in finding what works best for you!
