good moderate support
These work well for me. They provide moderate support - not extreme support. I use them as a precaution for certain sports like skiing. I find them to be comfortable. The velcro will stop working after a large number of uses but I feel they have lasted at least 2-3 years of use maybe 40 days a year.

LIFE SAVER...THANK YOU ACE!!!!!!
I am a 200lbs male, suffering from all sorts of knee pain, especially on my right knee.I love running and going to the gym but this knee pain had really pissed me off, cos I can't be as active as before. After a run, I always have pain around my right knee, and also my outer right ankle. Worst is for a few days, when I sit down, I could feel pain behind my right knee. Tried all types of knee brace to knee band, all end up in my closet. I currently reside in Singapore, and can only find limited range in the stores. Honestly, I ordered this ACE as without much faith, but since the price is cheaper....hahahaa.Result - Wore for my first run, and now I am sitting in my chair typing this review, a bit sore but PAINLESS!!!! I have forgotten what it is like to feel this way. I owe it to ACE to write this review. Yes the neoprene material is not as thick as other brands, but the support is there. I think its the thin elastic sleeve that does the trick. The adjustable straps don't rub or come loose after I sweat, and in Singapore, you will sweat!Really feels like someone holding my knee, very snug but no tightness pain.I know good things dont last....lol, cos velcro will always come loose, and the thin elastic sleeve will eventually loosen also.So you bet I will ordered a few to keep.If there's any complain, is the top strap above my knee for my thigh just left 2 inches, not much allowance. My thigh measurements above my knee is 21inches, hope those with really big thighs might not fit.Something I just don't understand, why all these companies that make this kind of knee support, why can't you make the thigh strap longer. Most of us with pain have big thighs, so all end up too tight or cant even fasten. Unless you wear a patella band, and an IT band separately.Hope this review can help people with knee pain make better choices.

Dellux model with side supports for better support
I have an older, similar knee brace (different brand, no side supports) that was basically worthless. I was impressed with the extra support along the sides, & I wear it for hours, when out shopping or doing errands, or cleaning house, or other labor intensive work. I still have to be careful, as I am trying to protect a torn meniscus that needs surgery (but won't be getting it any time soon, due to lack of home care after). I think this brace is a good option if you don't have a prescribed physical therapy type brace (very expensive) as it seems to offer good support & be easy to put on & take off. It has a soft inner sleeve you slip over your leg before fastening the straps. The only thing I don't like about that is I have to take off my pants & shoes to remove the brace. The use of the inner sleeve is supposedly optional, so getting it on & off with shoes on would be easier that way.

Critical Item For Survivalist & Tips To Extend Product's Life
.You need full usage of your knees to survive in today's world--both daily, and through any critical incidents that tomorrow may bring. The Ace Knee Brace with Dual Side Stabilizers provides: compression to alleviate and help heal swollen knees; enough rigidity to allow the operator to ride a bike, traverse rough terrain in the field and shoot from prone, kneeling and standing positions, and; enough flexibility to allow the operator to wear it in comfort all day.Even if you do not currently have knee problems, obtaining a few of these items are a MUST for your SIP (Shelter-In-Place) location, and your Bug Out device (whether boat, bicycle, ATV, motorcycle, vehicle, or paraglider, etc.). Drop at least one in your Go Bag, too.Following are a few tips after my use for a couple of months:1. When you first injure your knee, use an anti-swelling medication and use this Ace product for compression. Elevate the knee as much as possible.2. Take the Ace product off while sleep, but try to keep the knee elevated above the level of your heart.3. After several days or weeks of continuous hard use of the Ace product, the fabric that sticks to the micro-plastic adhering tab material WILL fray, and therefore loose its ability to hold the plastic material in place. This results in insufficient stickiness to hold the Ace product onto your knee, making the product inefficient. Here are two remedies to extend the life of the Ace product. The first is to sew American Velcro (1 inch wide) onto both sides of the tabs. The second is for if you are in the field and do not have access to sewing materials or velcro, use extra thick rubber bands (or cut inner tubes) to place over the tab that is not sticking (over your leg and knee). For the latter remedy, flexibility (and blood flow) is the key here so do not use non-elastic material to tie it down. If the tab is the center connector be careful that you do NOT place the rubber band over the Ace product round opening for the knee because that could cause pain and further damage to your knee.I cannot stress how important your knees are to survive--especially being on bended knee daily in prayer to God for guidance.Blessings,...Chappy (aka GhillieMan)

Tight on the bird legs
Decent. Im what some would call a fatty, but I got some bird legs….think body shape of the San Diego Chicken @ 6’1” 260ish . I’m probably top 5 in the neighborhood death pool and I’m 46. Big upper body, skinny legs. This is tight around my knee, could use another 1/2”-1” of strap. Pros: supports knee, elevates self esteem for my bird legs. Cons: makes me feel like a fatty.
