Sometimes I like to save a bit of money on supplements by making my own capsules. In this case, I have been taking Kratom for several years, and it is much cheaper to buy bulk powder and use a capsule machine to make my own capsules, rather than spend twice as much on pre-made capsules. Just make sure you know what size capsules you need, as there are different ones - for example I purchased size 00 which equates to 735mg each, as that is the only size that will fit in my capsule machine. Otherwise the empty capsules will not fit or get jammed in the machine. These empty capsules are made from gelatin and do not really have any flavor, thankfully, and they are not too big to swallow. They are strong enough to avoid being crushed or broken during the process, but still dissolve in my stomach in a timely manner. They are not pre-separated, meaning I have to open them myself, but again, it's cheaper and only takes a few extra minutes to do this step myself. As far as I can tell, I'm not missing any capsules, I didn't get any halves that came apart in the bag, none were damaged, and the bag is resealable which is great since I definitely do not use all 1000 at once, so I can store them for later. I will definitely return to this brand next time I need new capsules!

A real bargain. I have somewhat an unusual use for these empty capsules that may be of use to others that have dogs. My dog is now on a pain medication, said to be safer than those that can affect kidney function (Tramadol). It also is a lot cheaper than Rimadyl and others. The downside is that Tramadol is a particularly bitter tasting pill. My dog would spit it out no matter how I tried to disguise it. As soon as she tasted the medicine, out it came. It would even discourage her from eating when I had her food out.I was at a loss on what to do, since she has arthritis and I wanted at least minimize her pain. I just didn't know what to do. While looking at the reviews of Tramadol, I came across a review done by a nurse. She said that Tramadol is a people medication and recalls that patients would complain how bitter the pill was. She said patients would say that bitter taste would remain in their mouth for up to an hour. She simply suggested to buy some empty gelatin capsules, size double zero. It insulates the pills from the tongue long enough before my dog can taste it. Since my dog doesn't like peanut butter and I refuse to pay the outrageously priced Pill Pockets, I simply disguise it by surrounding it with a piece of cheese (Velveeta or Walmart brand which is cheaper). I stick little pieces of chicken to the cheese (or whatever meat or cold cuts I have). It works. I do have to break the tablets in half to fit them into the empty capsules.

Been using these capsules for years now and wouldn’t use any other brand. Occasionally there are mismatched parts or missing pieces but the majority of the time you get everything. They stay perfectly fresh in an airtight container with a desiccant pack or 2.

I use these in a capsule machine to make my own supplements. 100% success.. Several batches of 100 and I only had one failure, and I doubt it was anything to do with the capsule itself.Good product.UPDATE: After seeing some of the bad reviews, I thought I should provide an update to my experience.These people showing photos of torn or bent capsules are doing something wrong. When I first started this, I would have one or two bad capsules out of a batch of 100, so a 2% failure rate... Now, its more like one or two bad out of ten batches of 100, so more like a 0.2% failure rate. We pack a variety of supplements from glycine, beet powder, turmeric, natto, Kelp, NAC, spirulina, and glucosamine. They key to success is precision and cleanliness. The machine must be cleaned and dried after each batch or the powder(s) can screw up the process.This company seems to be making good quality capsules, don't leave them bad feedback because YOU don't know what you're doing.

I have used different brands, this brand is sold at my local health store, but I was looking for a larger bag. They fill easily and digest fast.
