Q: Do color toner cartridges dry out like color inkjet cartridges?

No - toner is solid powder not liquid ink. The cartridges do not dry out and you don’t need to worry about ink gunking up print heads or other parts of the printer.

Q: Will all functions work with a Mac?

It won't work reliably with a Mac, particularly not wirelessly. I love the printer itself but had to return it because it would only "talk" to my iMac via hardwire and I needed the wireless feature. I later learned that this is a common issue. If you HAVE to have it operate wirelessly with a Mac, choose another non-HP product.

Q: If a color cartridge runs out of ink can you still continue to prints black and white?

If you run out of one toner, the printer may not print. The printer needs some toner in each cartridge to print.

Q: Can the scanner scan several pages at a time? Or does it scan one page at a time?

It can scan several pages at a time using the document feeder and you can also set it to two-sided scanning through your computer, using the HP app. You need to change the option to two sided from one sided.
