Big, Fast, and Still Going Strong — Great Deal for a Refurb!
Honestly, I was a little nervous buying a refurbished hard drive, especially something this big — but this 10TB Seagate drive has been working like a champ.Right out of the box, it looked clean and like-new. Plugged it in, formatted it, and boom — up and running. I’m using it for media storage and backups, and it's been fast and reliable with zero hiccups.Even though it’s refurbished, it’s enterprise-grade, so you can tell it was built to last. Seagate never disappoints!
This 10TB hard drive has been a lifesaver for me! I was running out of storage space on my plex server and needed something that could handle a massive library of files, videos, and photos. This drive delivers - the storage capacity is huge and it's been rock-solid reliable so far.The transfer speeds are blazing fast and it's so easy to set up and use. I've been using it to store my entire movie collection, music library, and tv shows for plex . The drive has plenty of room to spare, so I don't have to worry about running out of space anytime soon.I've been impressed with the build quality and the drive's performance under heavy loads. No complaints here - this hard drive has exceeded my expectations in every way. If you need a ton of storage space and don't want to break the bank, look no further. Highly recommended!

HDD IS HDD
Love Seagate. I got a renewed one and it works like new. I dont use it for gaming. I use it for my nas. I've never tried to listen for the noise level and never noticed it being loud. I have my nas on 24/7 never had any over heating problems. An HDD is an HDD it's not fast but it's good enough for storing games, movies and videos. Goof for just storage.

Do not buy Amazon Renewed -- drive has failed
Drive began showing SMART errors only a few months after purchasing, and completely failed ~12 months into ownership. Thankfully my system notified me of the errors and I was able to back up my data.Amazon needs to make the "Renewed" text far more clear and obvious as I didn't realize I was not buying a brand new hard drive until I started getting errors and was already outside of the return window.

Great Value
Good Value for Renewed Drives – But One Had Issues in My NASI picked up five of these renewed 10TB Seagate Enterprise HDDs to use in my Synology NAS, and overall I'm pretty satisfied with the purchase—especially considering the price per terabyte. The drives arrived well-packaged and looked clean with minimal wear. Four of them worked perfectly out of the box and were recognized by my NAS with no errors. They passed extended SMART tests and have been running reliably for a few weeks now.Unfortunately, 1 out of the 5 drives showed a SMART warning shortly after setup. My Synology NAS flagged it as having "bad sectors" during the initial data integrity check. I pulled it and ran additional diagnostics on a PC—confirmed the issue. I'm currently working on a return/replacement.✅ ProsGreat price for large-capacity enterprise drivesQuiet operation and solid performance4 out of 5 passed all NAS health checksSMART data shows relatively low hours for renewed units❌ ConsOne drive had bad sectors and failed NAS health checksNo official Seagate warranty (typical for renewed)If you're comfortable checking SMART data and running extended tests, these are a great budget-friendly option for bulk storage. Just keep in mind the risk with renewed drives—definitely test them before committing important data.Would buy again, but only with the expectation of testing and potentially replacing a dud or two.

Like New! (Only Way Cheaper)
OK! I've said it before; I'm saying it again! These drives are a killer deal for the money, as far as I'm concerned. I like to think of these drives as rich peoples' leftovers! (Or maybe the rich guys are all upgrading to 20 TB SSD's we don't even know about, or something...)I have 4 NAS's - 3 Asustors and a Synology. I phased out my Terramaster when I got the second Asustor 4 bay; I didn't like it enough - even though it still works. Over the years, I have slowly gotten Iron Wolf and Exos hard drives. At this point, everything was all set except when I got done, I only had two 10 TB Exos hdd's and two 6 TB Iron Wolf's for the Synology. So I jumped on (two of) these 10 TB Exos' when I found them!! (I'll admit I was looking for them.) The point I'm making is that I've gotten at least 16 Iron Wolf and Exos hdd's over the years - most of them "renewed". I still have two 4 TB Iron Wolf's left over and two 6 TB Iron Wolf's in my computer. I've have NEVER had any trouble with any of them. Either I'm the luckiest guy on the planet or Seagate has turned things around since I was a young man, and is now making good hard drives! Seems like in order for there to be this many of them, renewed, they have to be good drives.I like these Exos' better than the Iron Wolf's. Lighter and less power hungry is always a good thing AFAIC. Helium filled is good. The real killer, though, is that the Iron Wolf's I have, have got a 1 million hour MTBF (Mean Time Between Fails) rating, and the refurbished Exos drives I have, have a 2.5 million hour MTBF rating, for less money! No-Brainer for me!They got here very quickly (from Cal). I let them warm up a little. I yanked a 6 TB drive out of the Synology, waited for it to start beeping and going, "RAID DEGRADED". I slid in one of these 10 TB Exos drives and just let it do its thing. When that was done (hours and hours later), I did the same thing with the other remaining 6 TB drive - slid in the other one of these, and waited a very long time again. Finally DONE! After running for over three days without a single error, I now have a 27.3 Terabyte RAID in the Synology! NO ERRORS; NOT ONE; completely "GOOD"!! All my data (which I'd backed up, just in case) was still there! (It's a Synology Hybrid RAID (SHR) with single drive redundancy.)And the company seems to be great! ("goHardDrive") Insured priority mail and all kinds of contact info in the box, stressing how badly they want me to be happy. Very well packed in sealed electrostatic envelopes and bubble wrap. The only way I could be happier is if someone had given them to me for free. (But then I would probably be chewing my nails, expecting them to break any minute...)One of life's few remaining better deals nowadays!
