Source Naturals Reduced Glutathione Complex 50 mg Orange Flavored - 100 Lozenges

I can't really tell if the product is doing what it is supposed to since I just started taking it. I also take other supplements, but I read our natural Glutathione decreases with age and is important as an anti-oxidant. It also detoxifies harmful chemicals in the body, so that is why I bought it. It also has other beneficial effects (eg. anti-aging, reducing wrinkles) if taken in the proper dosage. I just saw the company makes it in 250 mg. form, which I wish I knew about before, since I would have preferred buying that dosage. The company should list the different dosages they offer on each site.

I originally purchased this entirely as an experiment; I had no expectation of any significant results, but the reviews for various glutathione products piqued my interest, and my prior positive experiences with Source Naturals sublinguals, melatonin and GABA, persuaded me to try glutathione in this form, rather than the liposomal form.The effect I get from this is a bit hard to describe. The simplest would be to say that it improves "vim and vigor". It increases my energy, my rate of thought (without racing), and provides an almost intangible sense of a more youthful vitality (which is nice as I am in my 50's). The first time I took one, within 30 minutes it had given me a nearly caffeine-like buzz, but with continued use the effect has been more subtle, as described above. I take one in the morning and the effect seems to last throughout the day. Trying another one (or half of one) in the evening has some effect, and does not affect sleep negatively. Generally, just one in the morning seems more than adequate.Like the Source Naturals GABA, these are pretty large for sublinguals, but I chew them just enough to break them into smaller pieces so they can dissolve a bit easier. The orange flavor is quite mild and the tablets can be broken in half due to to the rounded faces.

I'm not going to lie, the pill is bitter and smells like rotten eggs which is to be expected as Glutathione is a sulfur containing compound. The orange flavor helps somewhat but it seems to only coat the outside of the pill and it's gone after a few minutes.I mostly bought this supplement to help with body detox and liver support but one very pleasant side effects is that it has made my skin look amazingly clear and healthy.It is a strong product, with a strong taste but it seems to work.

So, I heard about glutathione on a podcast featuring a world renowned endocrinologist. He suggested taking it sublingually as it gets almost completely destroyed by our stomach acid. This was the cheapest, most quantative amount of reduced glutathione I could find. It needs to be reduced for effectiveness.Anyways, the endocrinologist spoke of the positive effects glutathione supplements have when one drinks alcohol. You can research the science :) So, from that vantage point, I had a very easy way to gauge the effectiveness of this product.The results are astounding. Not only did I find myself intoxicated for a far shorter period of time, but I also found that I had a symptomless come down. Considering this is what they give to people, albeit IV, who overdose on Tylenol is reason enough to immediately view glutathione as legit.Now, my own testing of this product (for me) proves it to be fully effective. I have been taking 3 tablets a day. I have only been taking this for a week, so I am waiting to see if there are any further noticeable benefits from this product. So far, I can only imagine that what I have heard of this is legitimate, because I experienced solid results.

I purchased this after researching it online, starting taking it and after i went through about a week or so of not feeling well (i believe due to detoxing effects). This stuff makes me feel amazing!! I have more energy, a good sense of 'well being', simply put i feel good! I was taking one everyday but i think it was too much cuz i would get an upset stomach and loose stool, so i take one pill every few days. My family has also noticed good effects from this product.Also i have noticed that when i work out hard, i should be sore the next day but not anymore. I was very amazed at that as well as i have more stamina and can work out really hard and longer without feeling aches and pains. I'm 44yr female, this stuff is awesome and a must have as we age.I have been taking this for over a month now and will absolutely continue to use this product for as long as i live. I do want to get the glutathione patches at some point.UPDATE: 5/9/2019I have since settled on a better product made by Jarrow called Reduced Glutathione, which is better than this product for absorption. I wrote a review on that product as well. Best way to take is open cap and drop contents under the tongue and keep it there so it can absorb into you system. I no longer use this brand but this brand is a good company and have purchased other products from them. However because Glutathione is so hard to absorb in the form of 'by mouth', preferred method is IV or liposomal. I will always try something at least once, happy shopping!

I took this twice and each time I had nothing but issues. I experienced headaches, dizziness, and nausea. They are poor quality and do not dissolve good in the mouth. I am disappointed they can’t be returned.
