High Quality
This pan is awesome....I used it to make jellies for Christmas gifts and it made the process so easy. I have struggled in the past using straight sided pans for jellies that I gave up making them. Not any more! The pan is very well constructed of Stainless steel, substantial, but not too heavy for it's size. It has measurements on the inside that I found to be quite accurate. This is very helpful when making recipes that require precise measurement of fruit or vegetables. I was initially concerned because the price seemed on the low side...but was pleasantly surprised at the quality for this price point, it's as good or better quality than pans costing much more (I have some expensive cookware). This is my go to pan whenever I need to make jams or salsa's...anything I am planning to preserve that is a mixture and needs a heavy bottomed pan. The pour spout is nice for when you get to the last bit of your mixture and need to pour. No drips. Well done Kitchencraft!

Fantastic jam pan
I discovered this jam pan on a YouTube channel Red Rose Homestead that in my opinion is an expert canning instructor . She uses this pan so since I have about a 100 pounds of pears and plums to can I ordered it. It took some time to get here because I think it is from the UK. It was extremely well packed. It is an excellent pan. Pour spout, a movable handle and side handle. The pan design is wider at the top than the bottom really helps with making jams for cooking products down. This pan could be used for many things not just jam. Stainless steel and heavy weight---this is not a cheap flimsy pan. Note it doesn't come with a lid ( you don't need lid for example doing jam/jelly) but probably one you have could fit down into it if you needed a lid.Highly recommend this pan. I was lucky and got it on sale but is worth the full price but I love a sale!

Excellent purchase
This review compares this pan to non-maslin pans, not to other maslin pans.I've been making jams and jellies for years with an assortment of other pots. My regular pots of various sizes had problems with boiling over. My stock pot was deep enough, but too narrow such that the steam was very uncomfortable while I was stirring. I have a large soup pot, but it is massive and requires two hands to move. I finally decided I deserved a dedicated jam/maslin pan, and this was the one I chose.I made strawberry jam last weekend and absolutely love it. There is almost no comparison. The wide top allows stirring without burning your hand with steam. The handle made it easy to move from the stove to the counter for putting into jars. I use a ladle instead of direct pouring, but I can see how the little folded spout would be useful. It's solidly built and appears to be good stainless material. The measuring lines aren't precise enough for actual measurements, but they give a good relative idea of quantity. My one gripe: The sandwiched heat-distribution layers only cover the bottom, and stop just short of the side. This works fine on my current electric stove (the heat stays on the bottom), but I see it causing a problem with hot spots after I switch to gas after a planned remodel. That hasn't happened yet, and may not, so still 5 stars.

Best price for a quality item
I make a lot of preserves and this "jam pot" is perfection. Will never boil over due to shape & size. Some jam pots cost around $300 but all you need is this under $100 maslin pan.

Nice product
This pot is very good quality. Perfect for making jams and jellies. It is easy to handle while pouring hot liquids; not too bulky or heavy. If the pour spout was a little more pronounced it would be five stars.I would purchase again.

Beyond What I Anticipated
I have been waiting for this pan to arrive with great anticipation! I am fairly new at making preserves, jams, jellies, etc. and I wanted to use an authentic jam pan, once I heard about them.I did search quite extensively, and decided to buy a stainless steel pan rather than copper, simply because it's non-reactive and durable. It's substantial, but not unwieldy or overly heavy; and it's balanced. I have a thumb needing surgery, and my fear was that it would be too much for me to handle. It's the same as any of my other large pots, so I can manage it well. The markings on the inside are not just stamped, they're also in black, so you can see them easily. There's a slight pour spout, and a double handle for control. Small details, but they make a big difference! If the kitchen is your hangout, you'll probably love this jam pan.
