CURT 13079 Class 3 Trailer Hitch, 2-Inch Receiver, Fits Select Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, RVR

Installing it wasn't a piece of cake by myself but it is doable.When this was delivered, it wan't fully wrapped and protected. Minor scratches and I was a little disappointed. It was too heavy (and I was too lazy) to exchange or return it. And I thought to myself that after it was installed, it will get scratch since it expose on the road.Turned out, not so much. It is still in pretty good shape after a year of use.

No modifications need it... Fits it perfectly!!!

I got this for an Outlander Sport to fix a bike rack onto it. It took a while to figure out exactly how to affix this to the car, but with the help of a friend, we managed to do it in about 40 minutes. Most of the time was spent trying to figure out how to get both ends of it aligned with the bolt holes (had to tilt it at an angle, get it in, then turn it to align it). It also was a bit difficult to access some of the bolts and tightening them through very small spaces. Had to use a few different types of wrenches before we found the one that could fit through the small openings under the car and could tighten the bolts properly at the same time. The openings to access the bolts are tight and I dropped a bolt that got stuck in another part, which took a bit of time to fish out. If we install this again, it won't take more than 10-15 minutes. Having a helper is highly recommended while installing this.I haven't towed anything with this hitch. It's exclusively used for a hitch bike rack. I use the Allen 542 four-bike hitch and it fits it perfectly.It's been on the car for more than a year and fits 2" bike racks perfectly.No sign of rust so far in the rainy Pacific Northwest. Hoping it holds up well for a few more years.

Not too difficult to install. Came in very quicky and had all the required hardware. hardest time was getting to the bolts on the driver's side with the canister make it really tight to get hands on the hardware.

Fit like a glove, built strong

Fit well on a 2018 outlander sport. Very well made product but It will come poorly packaged and scratched. But its a hitch so thats gonna happen sooner or later. Instalation is hard with only one person but can be done if you have a jack stand or something to prop it up. Took me about 30 mins, not alot of wrench room and be prepared to put some torque on it, calls for 48 and 110 ft-lbs. Would have been 5 stars but the damage has to take one off.

It fits my 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport! Getting to the frontmost bolts is a challenge, but that's not the manufacturers fault. Initially, they didn't send the spacer plates. I contacted the seller and they sent some out to me within a few days.

Installed on a 2023 Outlander Sport. Seems very well made and sturdy. Took about an hour to install by myself. I admit I used a floor jack to persuade it into place as it fits very close to the muffler hangers. Overall, it was a fairly easy install, but would have been easier with a helper.
