Grohe 34744000 Grohtherm SmartControl Shower Set, Chrome, Duschsystem mit Thermostat (2 Ventile-große Kopfbrause)

All looks very good, but not had bathroom done yet, so shower not actually in operation

Good quality, as you expected from Grohe, unfortunately need to sens it back, decided for external shower set

Plumber had not installed one of these before and we needed a couple of extra bits ordered to extend the knobs hence 4 stars. As a shower it is great, had it for 6 months and no problems.

We bought this shower in advance for our new shower. We passed the return period as was waiting for batrhoom to be constructed. When plumber tried fitting it, he noticed water running from insider the shower. We found a hairline crack on one of the internal parts. This part was nowhere listed and thus impossible to order. Luckily customer service had one and sent it to me in one day. However after replacing part, we realised that one of the two shower buttons were not working properly (the overhead shower). As results, for the past several days our shower is incomplete and plumber keeps coming back and all getting frustrated. From my impression, all the parts look and feel extremely plasticky and flimsy and I am worried that if the show already exhibits so many faults, what is going to happen later. The warranty sounds reassuring but please remember that this is a recessed shower and if something breaks down you may end up destroying the entire bathroom wall to access and replace with a reliable product

Great bit of kit. Installation straightforward. Thermostat works well and quick to get to right water temp. Looks very solid and so far (2 month) faultless (can't comment on long term reliability). If you can afford it, we'll worth the money.
