Love this show. The DVDs work

If you haven't seen Buffy the Vampire Slayer, make sure you buy it before or with this purchase, or you might be missing too much context to enjoy it.If you're a Buffy fan already, you definitely want to get Angel to watch alongside the original series. There's a guide online that tells you the watch order so that you can keep the timelines in sync and have everything make sense: I definitely recommend finding it.To give you a sense of what to expect, just think about Angel as a character (and also where this series is set: Los Angeles). This journey is tragic and painful and heartbreaking: less comedy and more darkness than Buffy, in my opinion. It's very gritty, even.

We got this series for our disabled son's birthday present. He is a big Buffy fan and decided he needed to branch out into the other characters on the show. The DVDs have been watched often and still have lots of life left in them.I was truly surprised to see the series still available. Thank you much.

The discs are there and work so far but I hate the box so much. I’ve never seen DVDs cased so poorly. I’m happy cuz I was able to get this on sale when Hulu decided to lock everything Whedon behind another paywall and I had to buy everything outright. I already had seasons 4 and 5 but I’m missing a disc for 4 so I had to get the whole series instead of just the first 3 seasons. So ultimately I’m happy; it was like $50 for the whole series, but the packaging is terrible

Looks good on dvd. A bit dark and hard to see at times. Best episodes are with Julie Benz's Darla. Great buy for a show unsyndicated.
