Better ramen noodles, I think!
This box contains 4 individually-coiled servings of noodles. Bring 1 1/2 to 2 cups of water or broth to a boil with seasonings or veggie add-ins, add one serving of noodles, and heat for another 5-7 minutes. Seasonings recommend on the package are onion powder, ginger powder and soy sauce, with optional added cooked chicken meat. But the only real limit is your imagination! This soup is great and made even more easily with small cartons of ramen broth from the same company, Simply Asia. Each contains 26 ounces and is already flavored with onion, ginger, soy and chicken. I use half a carton of broth for each envelope of noodles. Please remember to refrigerate broth after opening; until opened, both noodles and broth are shelf stable. For me, these noodles with the optional broth also from Simply Asia are a no-brainer for nights when something a little out of the ordinary feels good, but I neither want to go out nor pay for home delivery. Especially helpful when I don't have the energy to cook, either! The price per serving is reasonable unless you're committed to those single-serving plastic-wrapped noodles with the MSG-laden flavor packet, and the taste of these noodles, even when cooked with water and the recommended seasonings alone, is quite good. Best of all, the noodles and the pre-flavored broth can stay on the shelf for a year or more awaiting hurricanes, floods or other special needs, as long as I have a means of boiling water! And I don't need to add anything to it to make a complete soup unless I feel inclined to get creative (minced raw green onions? minced celery or fresh garlic? cut-up roasted red bell peppers? very thinly sliced raw mushrooms? a little frozen cooked chicken or shrimp?). Love it.

~ The best ~ ///=^} ~
I love ramen but don't like the added sodium. These noodles are the best ever, I made a birria consommé concentrate that came from a seller on Etsy. I placed a beef chuck roast and beef bone in short ribs for the meat part of the ramen in slow cooker for 8 hours. It is the best for very inexpensive meal, the cost was a bit more than I expected, but to be able to have ramen and then Birria tacos, or even a Quesadilla is worth the cost to me, I can freeze some of the meat ~ I also purchased some Kikkoman concentrated soup base. It also is super tasty. I've been sick and adding really good ingredients to this with broth is the bomb. I added to my auto-ship the noodles, now I need to see if I can add the soup base as well ~ ///=^} ~ Edited on 18th of December.

Solid Basic Ramen for Quick Meals
They're pretty standard ramen noodles - nothing that will blow your mind, but definitely reliable and versatile. The texture is what you'd expect from dried ramen - they cook up quickly and have a decent chew to them. I like that they're not overly processed or loaded with additives like some instant ramen packages. These are just the plain noodles, which makes them perfect as a base for creating your own dishes. I usually add my own broth, protein and veggies to make a complete meal. They work well whether I'm making something traditional or just throwing together whatever I have in the fridge. The 8 oz package gives you enough for several meals depending on how hungry you are. Are they authentic Japanese ramen like you'd get at a specialty restaurant? No, but they're not trying to be. They're a convenient, shelf-stable option that does the job when you want something quick and satisfying. Overall, I'd give these a solid 4 out of 5. Nothing extraordinary, but a great basic product that delivers exactly what it promises - a good ramen base for everyday meals.

Good for DIY ramen
If you’re looking to make your own ramen, I highly recommend this brand. Cooks well. They come plain, just the noodles, so use as your base. Purchase broth and seasoning separately.

The Only Brand of Ramen I Buy
I will base this review on a rating scale of the following sub-categories: 1) Taste/Quality of Noodles, 2) Cost/Affordability, 3) Sodium Content, 4) Carb Content, 5) Fat Content, 6) Cholesterol Content, 7) Protein Content. Taste of the noodles - I rate this by simply eating the noodles both uncooked/cooked, and the noodles by themselves without any sauces or additions. I will not deny that, objectively, there are certainly tastier options out there (at least when we're talking about the noodle itself). Momofuku comes to mind, as does Nissin and Maruchan. But all things considered, this is not a bad noodle. In fact, I can honestly state that it is at least average, a 7/10. What keeps the score from being higher is that the noodles do have a bit more of a chew to them, and I realize that not everyone is into that (I personally like them chewier). They also have a slight tendency to curl up. Furthermore, taste-wise, they're not anything groundbreaking. Pretty average. So my overall score is 7/10 on taste. Health content? Well, this is the main reason we are assembled here, folks. Note that I rated the taste of these noodles at 7/10. But that's going by the taste of the noodles themselves. But check out this health information per serving: 260 mg. of sodium (11 percent of daily value), 42 grams of Carbs (15 percent of daily value), 1 gram of fat (1 percent daily value), 0 mg of fat, and 6 grams of protein. On all of those areas of health content, I am going to go 10/10. I realize that for a lot of people, the quality and taste of the noodle is the most important make or break aspect in evaluating ramen noodles. But for those of use who always dress up those noodles when preparing them, then the fact that the noodle taste itself is merely average becomes more negligible. I have been eating a bowl of Simply Asia ramen noodles for about 5-6 meals per week. And so I typically use some low sodium ginger oil, about a half tablespoon of furikake (seaweed) seasoning, a couple of pinches of Torgarashi (red pepper flakes) seasoning and a chopped green and white scallion sauteed in a pan in oil. Sometimes when I am feeling lazy, I'll pul a big heaping spoon of peanut butter into the cooked ramen and top it all with an egg sunny side up with the aforementioned seasonings. At other times, sauteed vegetables like carrots, broccoli, and mushrooms topped with a little bit of low sodium soy sauce. You see where I'm going here. And the cost is, again, 10/10. In all, this order averaged out to to aobut one dollar and thirty cents per serving. Averaging all of those aspects out came to about 9.56, in terms of stars, I rounded up to five (4.5 stars is not an option on Amazon). I have health needs, and so this is all that I buy in terms of ramen noodles.

For anyone looking for ramen noodles
I actually really enjoy these ramen noodles as I can put whatever flavor broth I want with them the smell is appealing the appearances what you would expect from ramen noodles I considered to be a great value for the money they taste exactly like Ramen noodles and the ease of preparation is really appealing they hold themselves to a quality of standard in appearance as well the ease of preparation is really the core of what I'm trying to say but they don't come with bullion packets so you would have to get yourself some broth to cook them in is my one suggestion
