Real cheap solution - so far so good
I was pleasantly surprised with these. I expected that maybe they weren't as good as they looked in the pics or that they were harder to get situated in place or didn't stay in place. They go on quickly though, and are easily adjusted to fit. The first time I used them I did have to stop twice as I had only loosely put them around the top of my shoes and they of course rode up. But once I realized that they really needed to go down far on the back of the shoe and the strap must be tightened to keep them down there they work consistently and perfectly each time. I was afraid too that the strap on the back of the snowshoes would move them around but once I got the gaiters below this strap they stayed in place just fine, over many miles of snowshoeing and time. My advice is to put them around your calf above your shoe, velcro them in place, and then stretch the bottoms of them down over your shoe where you want them instead of trying to stretch them around your shoe at first and velcro them. Once you get them in place then slid the straps under your shoe and up through the buckle and slip the front hooks over your laces and you are set. I am not sure about durability so far but I think the above method can help in that you are not overly stretching them and trying to pull them in place. They are not real thick and I would guess that too much pulling and tugging would make them more likely to rip. But they are perfect for what they are supposed to do. They are a single thickness of waterproof material so if you are hoping for extra warmth you probably are not going to get it. My ankles are fine, being protected by good socks and from the wind and snow with these gaiters but if you have cold extremities then maybe you'd need an insulated gaiter instead. So, these are what I consider to be just right for gaiters - they keep the snow and wet away from any exposed sock/ankle below the pants and above the shoes.

Really Nice Light-Weight Gaiters
I work in a state park, cutting fallen trees and mowing the edges of trails. I bought these gaiters to keep sawdust, burrs and debris out of my boots. They work great! Even in 85 degree heat, my ankles don't get sweaty, so they aren't too warm. Water repellency works great, and they haven't melted when I accidentally spray DEET on them. The length is perfect, too, reaching just below my calf muscle. After 10+ hours of hard usage, they show no signs of wear. Fast and easy to put on, I forget I'm wearing them. Then my wife yells at me for tracking sawdust into the house! Great product - great value!

Nice fabric, no ability to tighten
These gaiters are nice...fabric, weight, value, , but slip down and do not really have a mechanism for tightening them.

Strap snap
I wore these to limit rocks, brush, and other material from getting in my boots while hiking on and off trail. They made a little over 100 miles before the under-boot straps frayed and snapped. Not terrible given the price, but not great either. I'll have to get something more durable going forward.

Keeps grass seeds out of my socks!
I work outside in an area infested with an invasive grass that loves to send it’s sharp seeds into my socks and ankle-height boots to stab me, but these gaiters solved my problem! So far they stay up around my calves and protect the area between the hem of my pants and the top of my boots very well. The plastic waterproof material doesn’t collect seeds the way my cloth socks/pants/boot linings do. Not sure how they’ll hold up, but at this price, they’ll be easy to replace, at least.

Does the job- Can’t beat the price
Nice, basic low gaiter. Keeps the bottoms of the legs of pants dry, which is why I purchased them. Use them primarily for walking the dog. The straps that go under the shoes are a little long… I have tripped on the ends of them a couple times. Will need to trim them a bit & apply a superglue so the ends won’t fray.

Worked great!
Bought these for a hike in the Olympic Rain Forest. It wasn't raining at the time, but lots of mud. These kept my pants nice and clean. And, at one point, mud went over the top of my boots, but the gaiters kept the mud out. The only negative is these are kind of puffy, so at first, they swished when I walked. But, either I got used to it and didn't notice the sound anymore, or all the mud muffled it. In any event, these are awesome gaiters for the money!

Inspect the sewing upon arrival.
The product was listed correctly, good materials and a good price but after only the 2nd time wearing them, one side of the "hook and loop" connector tore off because it wasn't sewn on correctly. I discovered it too late for the refund/replacement policy. Check the sewing quality as soon as you receive them.

great job of keeping mud, rocks, sand and pine needles out of my boots. Lasted at least 200km of hiking and still in good shape.
