Solarez Fly Tie UV Cure Resin - Thin Hard Formula (4 oz Bottle) Fly Tying, Fly Fishing, Build Fly Heads and Bodies ~ Made in The USA

I have used all these (Solarez) products for a number of years. This company has been around for a number of years, just not in the fly fishing industry. Originally the material was designed to repair surf board dings and other uses. I have used all the products that they sell. I like the thick hard resin for making heads on my sea habit patterns. It gives you enough time to shape the head and set it with the light. I use the thin hard for attaching eyes to flys like the clouser. A drop of resin on the thread wraps will secure and prevent twisting. The thin flexible, I use to form or shape heads on my wig hair bait fish patterns.What's nice about this material, it won't yellow, doesn't crack when bounced off rocks or engine cowlings:-) and no need to wipe with alcohol and apply a thin layer of Sally Hansen's. With Solarez, you set it with there light for a couple seconds or depending how thick you apply the material and then I set it outside in the sun to cure the resin throughly. There you have it a UV resin that dries hard, clear and no tackiness to the finish.
