Q: Do I have to use the deck mount or can it be installed with one hole directly to countertop?

You don't have to use the deck mount,it can be installed with one hole dieretly to countertop.That means this kitche faucet can fit to one hole sink or three hole sink. If your sink is one hole,you can install this faucet without deck plate,if your sink is with 3 hole,you can install this faucet with deck plate to cover the other two holes.

Q: What is the thread size for the sprayer / spout? I want to buy an adapter to hook up a garden hose.

You could unscrew the sprayer head and connect the garden hose to the black hose. The thread size of black hose connection is 0.747inches, sprayer head is 0.804 inches. Q: What else do I need for accessories? Braided water lines?

It comes with braided water lines and 1/2" to 3/8" adapters. It was a perfect fit for our older out dated faucet. Very easy to install.

Q: Would this be difficult to install for someone with no plumbing experience?

Very easy installation if you have existing plumbing installed. The base of the faucet fits in around an 1.5” hole. There is a hot and cold water line with a 3/8” connection. The faucet also comes with bigger 1/2” npt adapters. Connect there lines to your exhausting plumbing and that is it.
