I chose the book as a gift for a 13 year old girl who is very interested in women’s sports, especially baseball.

Fabulous book, tons of info and interviews with the original players. My son loves everything baseball and this is one of his favorites besides the Jackie Robinson story.

This is not just a book for kids. Despite being a fairly short easy read, it is very informative with vintage photos and useful information.

I really enjoyed the book, by Sue Macy. It brings back the memories, and highlights, of the real forgotten sport in baseball......Women! During WWII, they made a difference, and kept up the spirit of the game, and also the morale of the country!

I love this book! My daughter and I read it before bedtime.
