Soooo nourishing! Really love this product. Applies easily, goes on smoothly. Their regular moisturizer feels a little too heavy for me, but this is lighter. My skin glows up nicely, and feels really soft. I trust this brand -- excellent quality, a fantastic price, and definitely worth buying a few -- one for the gym bag, one for the purse, one for the bathroom. Highly recommend!

This review is for the Skin Food LIGHT version, which is the version I recommend over the regular version. First, I'll address what a lot of other reviews have said were negative points, but also with commentary about how this product is still 100% worth it! 1) The smell - Yes, it smells like you're putting gin on your face. I really can't explain it as any other smell. The first time I applied it, I was pretty grossed out. But once I knew what to expect, I got over it with all my other applications. Because the cream itself is worth it, despite the smell. Also, the smell goes away after 10 minutes. 2) The consistency - It's thick, but not thick like cream cheese. The regular version is thick like cream cheese. The light version is thick but still very clean feeling when applied. It has a cream makeup primer consistency, and it in fact makes an EXCELLENT primer. I recommend using this lotion as a primer that also hydrates your skin instead of using a makeup primer. It's better for your skin, and it gives you that really beautiful dewey look once your makeup is fully applied. If using this as a primer, you absolutely have to use some kind of foundation or BB cream over it. Otherwise, it'll look greasy instead of dewey. 3) The price - It's so cheap for what it is! This is comparable in function to some of the other $150+ creams on the market. Yes, the texture isn't as luxurious. Yes, the smell is certainly in need of reformulation. But for the price, you can't beat how good it makes your skin look under makeup, and how hydrated your skin will remain with this cream.

I like how rich and moisturizing it is. I prefer this light version over the original because it's less greasy. It does take a bit to absorb so I normally use it at night unless I'm not in a rush to put make up on right away. Once it's absorbed it feels really nice and lasts long. It smells like natural plant based cream, meaning not great but not bad either. Will buy it again. Reason for the missing star: I know the aluminum is better than plastic but this new tube is harder to fully squeeze and after a while the cup does not fit anymore.

I keep this on hand year round, however it is my go-to AM and PM facial moisturizer for dry midwestern winters. My face is no longer dry, tight, and itchy.

This Weleda cream impressed me. It hydrates and nourishes skin as advertised, with a lightweight, non-sticky formula. It's paraben-free with a pleasant chamomile scent. Regular use visibly improved my skin texture. The product size is convenient for carrying around. It didn't trigger any reaction on my sensitive skin. Even the packaging is attractive. Tried this out as soon as I got because every beauty article or celebrity beauty secret mentions the weleda skin.food cream. I assumed the light cream meant it would soak in your quickly..light as in a summer weight moisturizer not light as in lighter consistency. This is a high moisturizing cream despite the "light" description. I love it because we have crazy windy weather or extremely dry weather in the winter where I layer on 3 types of moisturizers so my skin doesn't feel dry. I think for me this would not be an everyday moisturizer in the summer but a once a week you need a deep moisturizering treatment type situation. In the winter I can see myself using it everyday. It greats for sensitive skin, I have felt a bit of tingling throughout the day but I think that is the actives actually moisturizering as my skin didn't get red, itchy or hot as it does when it reacting badly to a product. It does have a light herbal scent that quickly dissipates when you apply it but if you are really sensitive to scent it might be too strong for you.

Schon nach kurzer Zeit sehen kleine Fältchen und trockene Stellen viel besser aus, und meine Haut bekommt einen schönen, natürlichen Glow. Der Duft ist angenehm, die Verträglichkeit hervorragend selbst bei empfindlicher Haut. Für mich ein echter Allrounder und eine klare Kaufempfehlung!
