Pipe Wrench - Good value.
The wrench was heavy duty, perfect for fixing sinks. I gave it a 4 for heaviness. It was perfect, but a older man or woman might find it somewhat heavy. But this type of wrench has to be pretty heavy to increase torque. It was in my opinion a great value. And it was made in the USA.

Best tool for the job
What can be said for a product that is iconic and the standard to which others are compared? Ridgid makes some of the best plumbing tools. Period. Working in the apartment industry maintenance department in the home office I see a lot of tools, reviews from employees and talk to a lot of contractors. Needless to say, it's a great tool. Just make sure to have the tool in the correct direction if you're tightening or loosen something.

Quality made in USA tool
Decided to upgrade my pipe wrenches, used cheap wrenches for twenty years and was never impressed with the overall ease of adjustment or the performance. I don’t use a pipe wrench daily but as become older I have no tolerance for tools that do not perform as intended, The extra cost of a well made tool pays for itself in not only reducing my overall irritation I also get much better results on the finished project. The Ridgid pipe wrenches are worth the extra money paid, very nice adjustment with a good bite that does not slip, very impressive tool and a good overall investment.

Love this brand!! Love it!!
This is the very definition of having the right tool for the right job. If you hate dealing with plumbing (as we all do) then half your problem is the crummy tools you are using. I have a 10 inch Rigid, but I needed this bad boy for a 1950s drain pipe that went into the wall that wouldn't budge. I tried a regular wrench and I swear I heard the pipe mocking me. Then I used the Rigid and that pipe came off as smooth as butter. Now who's laughing?

Ridgid, brand name for good stuff
It's a great wrench with a good heft. I haven't been able to break it yet and I have tried a couple of times. I've always had good luck with ridgid products they aren't cheap, but they don't skip on the quality. It's a trade off I'd happily pay for.

Buen producto ya que ahora la mayoría de las herramientas son de origen asiático, y está aún es USA

I wish I bought one of these sooner. Been an avid DIY wreckager kind of handyman around the house and at friends / family places for like seven years now, but I never had one of these. I'd always rely on hand strength or a trusty pair of pliers to do any kind of heavy lifting and twisting. Don't do that. Seriously. Just buy a pipe wrench. It's so good! I was amazed. I had to fix someones office chair and replace the hydraulic barrel thing, I've done this work before and let me tell you, it's an incredible task to remove the barrel from the wheels and chair seat. Hammering and twisting and huffing and puffing, it sucks! I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Then I used the pipe wrench on it. I guess the clue is in the name, but still - it popped it straight out with no trouble, it's a fantastic force multiplier for this kind of thing. Was dubious at first, but the little ridged teeth did the trick right quick and gripped it so tight, hardly any force was needed on my part at all! Simply incredible. I can tell this thing is built to last. There are much cheaper alternatives on the market, but I've always been a firm believer in you get what you pay for. I think you could drop a bomb on this and it wouldn't even scratch the paint. It looks very well machined and high quality, even if it came off a production line it doesn't feel mass produced at all. In all honesty I'm probably going to be using it for the rest of my life. The 18 inch one is perfect for everything, I'm willing to say, but it's very heavy. You've seen video game characters swing it about like it weighs about as much as a torch, I'm guessing! Well forget that, this thing would break your arm if you swung it like that, for sure! Be aware of that, and maybe buy a smaller one or the light-weight aluminium one, if it's a concern for you. Don't be dumb like me. If you own a toolbox or a toolkit and you do odd jobs around the house, you need one of these. There's absolutely no question about it.
