Great muzzle for the price
UPDATE: (Feb 2019) after several months of using this consistently, it has held up very well. Fenrir is now used to it and we can keep it on for about 30-40 mins without him trying to remove it. And hes associated it with being quiet (we usually only use it when he comes across someone that really bothers him and he wont stop barking) so when he sees it, he shuts up. LolStraps occasionally need readjustment but nothing major. All straps and hardware are still in great condition. Highly recommend!*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*I have a ~85lb 3 year old German Shepherd who occasionally barks at random people who he doesnt like. I wanted something that would put people at ease if I choose to take him out but nothing super crazy like a cage muzzle. *I* know he will not bite people, but strangers don't. That being said, I read through a lot of the reviews and noticed many were having issues with the muzzle staying on the dog or getting their dog to keep it on. You need to work with the dog and train a dog who has never had a muzzle to be ok with this new, strange thing being on their face. My dog, Fenrir, hated it at first but after a couple weeks of putting it on in longer increments and taking it off before he gets uncomfortable with it, giving treats and doing basic commands like "come", "sit" and "stay", hes getting more and more comfortable with it. The muzzle is not too tight to where he cannot get it off. He can get it off rather easily, if given the chance, but the point is to train him to be comfortable enough to ignore it being there and leave it on. You can't just put on a muzzle and expect a dog to understand or want it to stay there. The quality of the muzzle is good. Nylon straps, plastic buckles, metal D-ring for attaching a leash and a padded nose guard. It has withstood the few times Fenrir has pawed at it, without breaking or coming undone and it seems to be comfortable enough for him to keep on for an extended period of time, once he becomes accustomed to it. :)

Comfie, good fit, but not strong enough for a horse dog
Meh...so this would probably work for small to medium, possibly large dogs if you have an aggressive biter. Massive dogs, not so much. I have a 160 pound English mastiff/pyrenees mix that is not yet 1 1/2 old, so still growing. He doesnt like his nails cut. Although he'll lay down and stay for me during the process, and he doesnt bite perse, but tries to "mouth" my hand and his teeth are big enough that if it hits a nerve or something it freaking hurts so yeah, no thanks. So between that and not finding clippers strong enough (another struggle in itself), I thought this muzzle would be a good idea. So, on that note, his jaws are so strong he was able to open the dang thing even though it was tightened all the way. Also, I put it on and just watched him for about 10 mins the first time to see how it would hold up and he was strong enough to paw it off. He doesnt have a short snout. His face is more pyrenees shaped. I had to loop the extra straps around and tie it so he couldn't get it off or loosen the strap closing his mouth. So I wouldn't count on it for safety if you're using it for an xxlarge aggressive dog. But on a side note, it seems comfortable, nicely padded, and very large and adjustable. Especially if your dog has lotsa loose skin around their neck like mine and jowly lips. Good for using for little grooming quirks, but will reiterate, if they're really big and strong, wouldn't count on this to stop them from biting someone. Would definitely go with a full face one. I got the xxxl if that helps anyone with sizing

Give it a try!
TL;DR - YMMVFit:When I realized the muzzle was too big, I contacted the manufacturer directly as per the included instructions. They got back to me quickly and very kindly offered to send the correct size*. They let me keep the original and even recommended that I donate it to an animal shelter if I decided not to keep it, which was rather thoughtful. The new one fit quite well, so the real training began.Training:My dog has been using a Halti for years now, so I assumed training him would be easy. Unfortunately, every chance he got he tried to paw the muzzle off his nose. After weeks of bribery with some of the tastiest nibbles (and believe me, he is food motivated like the rest of them!), I gave up. It was a bummer since this truly seemed like the best option for him.Durability:As insinuated, we didn't use the muzzle long enough to be able to speak to long-term durability. That said, the muzzle part itself appears super strong and the straps are thick/hardy. Willing to bet this product would stand the test of time.Customer Service:I gave this 4 stars, largely based on the cust svc. During the vetting process I was impressed that prior reviews said the manufacturer was accommodating, and throughout the attempt to get my dog to use the muzzle they saw their product through. FWIW, I purchased LePark's mesh muzzle and have been having great success with it. What a great company!*Before purchasing, I took my dog's measurements using a tape measure and ordered the one that met those reqs. It fit well around his snout and neck; the problem was that the mouth strap wouldn't stay taut. The new one that the manufacturer sent definitely fit better, though it's tough to say whether it was because of the reduced size or the grip of the strap.

Good company good quality
I was disappointed with the first one I got, it wasn't fitting right and or working right. The company replaced it with even a better mussl;e, promptly. I can't figure this out but my darn dog can still bark big time. I tighten and tighten it on the snout area. The darn German shepard has a long one lol, so somehow she can still bark her fool head off. It is hillarius the battle I have even getting it on her, would be worth a funny you tube. I have to practically lay on her to keep hee where I want. Well it is a good product, well made and great company to work with, just not a good item for some reason for me and the dog. Thank you for sending the second one, I am about to duck taper her mouth shut lol.
