This actually makes cold butter able to be spread without tearing bread! It's very well made, not thin. This is a great addition to my meal utensils.

From reading the description, I was expecting this to be able to spread butter from the refrigerator on fresh bread. That it does not do. I deducted one ⭐ for this. It's a good, sturdy butter knife. Once the butter is warm, it works well...just like any other wide bladed butter knife. It's a good size, neither too small nor too long. Children can easily handle it. It feels good in the hand (L or R) when using it. The quality is much better than I expected for the <$5 price.

This is the perfect utensil to spread your butter and not have to wait for it to soften. I can use it to cut thin slices that spread easily on my bread with out tearing the bread to pieces.

I like the heft of the knives, but I apparently am not strong enough to get them to work as demonstrated. Butter just out of the refrigerator only produced a little knot of butter and I had to hold the butter with the other hand. Not at all what I was hoping for or what I felt was advertised,

It’s was a gag gift we all laughed b/c the person uses a lot of butter. So far it is durable, turns out was really needed for every day life of cooking. I bought the butter dish to go with it, here on Amazon.

Great for the times you forget to have butter on the counter at room temp. Helps shave butter off when it’s cold

Maybe it’s the type of butter that I use, or the temperature of my refrigerator, or just my lack of talent, but those holes that are supposed to give you fine curls of butter don’t seem to work. The butter just builds up on the edge of the blade, same as if I scraped a regular knife across the top of the cube. Maybe it would work better if I let the butter warm up a bit, but that’s really defeating the purpose of this thing, isn’t it? The one thing that I do really like is that this is a little longer and stiffer with a wider blade than my regular dinner knives, which makes it perfect for stirring up my peanut butter when the oil separates.

This is a great idea and helps but does not really allow butter to spread right out of the refrigerator. It needs to soften some first.

Doesn't really cut butter well.

Wife likes it but a regular knife does the same job.
