An amazing figure, love every inch of it!
So, I've been collecting Transformers for ten years (since 2009 with ROTF) and I fell in love with these toys in the first place because of the intrincate yet satisfying transformations they had. After the bulky 2009 Leader Class, I wondered what would happen if they made the same characters with today's engineering. Then, Studio Series came out and the only thing I can say about this guy is WOW! He is as accurate as he will ever get and the fact that he can combine with SS32 Optimus Prime is just the incing on the cake. Robot Mode: Jetfire is full of molded detail. The face is so humanoid and captures that grandpa look perfectly, with well-painted red eyes. The beard and the hair are made of soft plastic and have enough silver paint to look like metal. The arms have stuff molded in them, with wires and mechanisms going through as if he was actually a mechanical living being. The thrusters (legs) look like one of those complicated jet engines, with some silver that accentuates the tiny parts. He comes with his signature cane and his axe (the detail keeps coming and coming). Jet mode: Even though it is basically a robot hidden under a jet, he looks really sleek. The mechanical stuff on the undercarriage looks great. The head is too noticeable for my liking, but I can understand why they had to do it. He even has the yellow dot on the nose cone, though it should be a bit smaller. He is huge in this mode and doesn't really suffer the hollowness syndrome that SS34 Megs suffers. Combined mode: The combined mode looks and feels sturdy and accurate. Instead of getting the whole piece to combine with Prime, he does what he did in the movie. Every important part separates and ultimately serves its purpose as part of the combined mode. Optimus gets Jetfire's legs and a detailed backpack made of two imposing jet thrusters. Not only does the nosecone splits in half and creates his shoulder pads, but also the cane serves as a weapon. Finally, the upper body creates a giant weapon that is too heavy for Optimus to carry, so it just rests on the body. Transformation: The transformation is amazingly complex and gets almost every part where it belongs, to its screen-accurate position. I have had some trouble with the tabbing, but I think it's just my mold since one of his legs has a tight joint that I am too afraid to move because it feels like it will break at some point. Jetfire is the culmination of an amazing evolution of both engineering and design from Hasbro and Takara Tomy. Wether you like the character, the movies aesthetic, or even if you want a good transformer, this should be in your collection!

Great toy to get along with the Studio Series Optimus Prime SS 32 toy
Absolutely recommend this to get as it a very amazing and well articulated figure that is quite accurate to the CGI. Now remember that Hasbro is always well known to OMIT certain instructions. In this case, the instruction manual you get does not have the gun transformation instruction for the jetwing Optimus Prime combination. The Japanese version of this toy has the proper instruction on how to do it, but google search for that then you'll have a amazing looking jetwing Optimus Prime.

Great toy
Awesome toy. It took hours to figure out how to transform it, but once you do it a few times it is easier to do. Besides that, it is an amazing plaything or collectible.

For teens and adults
I love this transformer. I gave it to my 8 year old nephew though. We had to watch a video just to get it halfway, and then it was just too complicated (even the youtube videos are hard to watch as they go pretty fast and often don’t give a good enough close up of what they are doing). I had to get my husband to help, as he had done many in his youth. He made me watch the video to get it back to old man before he used the video to get it to jet and back again. The 8 year old is happy to just have it back to old man for now. Maybe 5 years from now he can transform it himself.

Excellent Detail and Scale
This is an impressive figure. The detail and the scale are excellent. We purchased Jet Fire in order to combine with Optimus; it was a very easy process.

Best Jetfire figure out there
This is by far, the best representation of Jetfire you will ever see. His robot-mode is very CGI-accurate, and his vehicle mode looks nice (if you can ignore the robot hiding underneath it). Transformation is a disaster, so don't expect to get everything tabbed in correctly. He is super fun to pose, has a fantastic sculpt, fantastic paint detail, and all the necessary accessories. If you want even greater value for him, get the corresponding Optimus Prime figure.

Great figure to buy for yourself or as a gift
This figure provides an accurate depiction of the character in the film without sacrificing play value. The only problem I’ve had with this figure is that sometimes certain pegs won’t stick together

A MUST FOR ANY TRANSFORMERS OR AVIATION FAN IN GENERAL
If you are any fan of Jetfire, the SR-71 Blackbird or anything else for that matter, you NEED this figure. This is a masterpiece. An absolute masterpiece. Well done Takara/Hasbro. Photos absolutely do not do this guy justice.

This action figure is awesome~~~~ So much better than what I expected. The paint job is nicely done. I have many Transformers from 10+ years ago and never like the paint job on them. But now Hasbro has greatly improved their paint job on the figures. Will buy more of the figures from this Studio Series. The item is highly recommended.
