My Samsung Galaxy S5 for Seniors (My...series)

Bought this book for my mom, who is new to a smartphone (though she is quite literate with Windows). I'm usually her tech support person, but since I don't live nearby and don't have an Android phone, I bought this book for her. She loves all the pictures in it and says it is very clear. She was able to pick things she wanted to learn at her leisure and didn't feel pressured to pick it up quickly like she might if someone was showing her. Rather than calling me for support, she's texted me to tell me (or show me) what she's learned. This book has made the transition easy for her. I can't comment on the content because I actually haven't seen the book, but other reviews led me to believe that all the pictures would make it fun to learn without being long-winded/confusing/condescending. But I can tell you that if your mom or dad just got a Samsung Galaxy S5 and isn't exactly sure what to do next, I highly recommend this book.

I purchased this book for my lady friend about 7 months ago, and she enjoyed it very much and learned a lot from this book. I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S6 for myself, and since I did not find the sequel to this book for the S6, I just bought the S5 version. I will probably buy the S6 version if/when it comes available. Thank you!! BTW: I just saw the same book is now available for the Galaxy S6, and I just ordered it on my Prime Account!!

This book is printed on good quality, thick paper. The pictures are excellent! It has an EXCELLENT INDEX in the back starting with page 521 thru page 543 for ready referencing ALL of its quality contents. I am VERY pleased with this book! We like it so well that we will be ordering it again for a 2nd copy for my wife to use as we study it together. It has a wealth of excellent information to help seniors that are new to the technological world of smart phones. This book is a real WINNER, and I most definitely can recommend it with a FIVE STAR RATING.

A lot of detail, but very thorough. Has shortened my learning curve and instructed a number of features that I did not previously know how to use. Recommend the book for anyone needing more thorough instruction on using the Galaxy S5... not just seniors.

IT'S HELPING QUITE A BIT BUT IF, BY THE TIME I UNDERSTAND HOW TO DO EVERYTHING THE BOOK SAYS THE PHONE CAN DO, MY HEIRS WILL HAVE TO FINISH IT. I'M WONDERING AT WHAT AGE (FOR SENIORS) YOU CONSIDER SENIOR.

I hate this book! I must be exceptionally stupid, but I just cannot understand anything. I did graduate college Summa (albeit many years ago!) but this is just defeating me. It's too expensive to mail back. I will enjoy ripping out every page and burning it!!! Does anyone know of a book (I didn't get the manual - it is an old phone given to me) that is EASY for an old 76-year old stupid grandmother to understand? I'm in tears.

I,m very tech challenged and I found this book great, because I had to do this on my own. I needed to read the chapter, look at the phone and the do it while referencing the book again.

This looks like a great book for seniors... fairly easy to understand. I haven't read all of it yet. Just when I need to understand something I look it up.

Thought it would be more simplified and more condensed but not.
