Excellent book for learning silk ribbon embroidery. I know how to embroider with thread, this is a lovely book for embarking on a new art experience. The photos are lovely, and the directions are clear!

As a beginner, I need more "how to" guidance. The steps take a lot of assumptions that the crafter knows all of the missing steps in between the very few pictures. My craft has become a trial by error and gotten frustrating. I am an intermediate embroiderer.

I had this book many years ago. My sister loved what I was doing and I gave her my book. Years later (now) I found again pieces I had started. I was so relieved to find this same book again. I am back again enjoying ribbon embroidery.

I bought a number of silk ribbon embroidery books, and while some gave more ideas for objects (birds, butterflies, bugs, veggies, etc), none have the artistry that Ms. Cox has. She has a good eye for both form and color, and she gives good instructions, complete with color photographs to help you follow along.If you have the money, go ahead and buy those little 'encyclopedia' and project books - but if you can only pick one or two, get them with Ann Cox's name on them. You won't regret it.

This is the perfect book for anyone who hasn't tried ribbon embroidery. The instructions are clear and easy to understand and the photos are so valuable in helping you understand the different variety of stitches and flowers you can create. Just a great book for anyone's embroidery library.

This is difficult for me to follow considering it’s supposed to be for beginners. I’m totally lost with trying to follow this book. Beautiful pictures.

This was my first introduction to Silk Ribbon Embroidery and it was very helpful. Gives simple clear instructions on how to make the various shapes with the ribbon and designs you can create yourself.

Nice presentations! I am not a very experienced in embroidery so I do like the illustrations and the directions are easy to follow so I like the book for it is an easy introduction it may not be for the more experienced person and the title does state "Beginners Guide.....", I am happy with my purchase!

What a beautiful book. I have recently become obsessed with silk ribbon embroidery and this book is fantastic for explaining the stitches and the examples shown are beautiful. I can't wait to start.

Excellent book - at last a book with English blooms rather than S. African or Australian. I have referred to it time and time again.
