Granny's Secret Ajvar Roasted Pepper, 550 Gram

This is just like the one I would get in Serbia. In fact I think it IS the same one just translated to english. It was very fresh like it was just made! :)

It’s hard to find an authentic bottle of avjar so when we found this Serbian brand selling on Amazon we made sure to take note of it. We have this on our Subscribe list, it’s excellent as a side dish, spread on sandwiches and in baked casseroles.

Got this as a treat for a friend from Serbia - I wanted to make him a home-cooked meal with Cevapi and somun (small sausages and crusty wood-fired bread). So glad we had this tasty condiment to make it more authentic.

I saw all the other reviews where this product arrived busted and spilled all over the box and thought ‘surely that won’t happen to me’ and clicked buy… well this is what I get, busted product, spilled all over the box. Completely unusable and smells god awful. Oh and just in case you haven’t seen from the other reviews/product details it’s in nonrefundable. SO, do yourselves a favor and DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. SMH.

It looked delicious…at least the part that wasn’t nasty from spoilage. I’d give it a try again but I’ve read several reviews that complain about the top popping loose. If you get a sealed one I’m sure it would be delicious.

All I can say, it’s delicious! This is the same version that I grew up with. The price is a bit high, but it’s a long way from home product.

A Serbian friend introduced me to this ajvar and although I've tried other varieties, this is only one worth eating. I could eat it straight from the jar. And do.

This is the most delicious red pepper sauce I've ever eaten. My only wish is that it came in a variety with larger pepper pieces.
