Perfect fit

Replaced my worn out 2003 Tahoe remote. Fitment wise had to modify the back part with a screwdriver and remove 2 plastics that are in the way of the cover from closing. But once that’s done. It’s a ok.

I bought two of these to replace the cracked key fob cases of my Astro van remote lock actuators. These were a perfect match for the original for case shells--easy task to make a complete repair.

My original remote had worn, cracked rubber buttons, so I tried this to replace the case and buttons. (Please note the electronics on the inside are NOT included with this product. It's designed for you to use your existing transmitter board and simply replace the black plastic case and gray/red buttons.) For me it fit easily with no problems, and I've been using it for more than a year. It works well. There are two cautions I would mention. One, the white paint on the buttons has already disappeared. Not a huge problem, I remember which button does what, but it doesn't look "new" with the paint gone. The second problem is more annoying. On the OEM fob, the panic (red) button is recessed so it doesn't get pushed by accident, setting off the horn alarm. On this product the red button is the same height as the gray buttons, making it much easier to accidentally press the panic button. I've had it go off when my keys were in my pocket and I wasn't even doing anything with them. If this problem were corrected, it would be almost perfect.
