Portobello Sandringham Peony Purple Bone China Mug

I love china cups for drinking morning coffee. The size is perfect, the china is perfect, the shape of the cup is perfect. This is the perfect cup. I love this style of Portabello cups.

I broke Grandmother's cup her favorite grandson gave for Mother's Day. I searched internet and was grateful Amazon had cup for replacement. She called, very pleased cup was replaced .

The pattern and colors on this cup are just beautiful, BUT I was disappointed in the weight of the cup. I have gotten several Portabello cups in the past and on this one the "china" was thick, not as light or as delicate as it has in the past.

Very happy with the quality of these cups. Very well packaged. Delivery as promised.

For this price there had to be a catch - made in China. However, they are great mugs/cups, a larger size than normal, easy to hold and pleasant to drink from; safely go in dishwasher. Not sure, however, if the design will eventually chip away. Wish we could buy UK-made even though they would more expensive.

I purchased number of designs They are very pretty. Well made light weight easy to hold. Only problem the outer box is very flimsy and two of cups broken. The cups were very well wrapped. I myself would propose that a layer of tape around box for extra support would help.

For someone who loves to eat but can't be bothered to drink this is a good solution. My hubby calls this my bucket! The only reason it dropped a star is that it is not my favourite design - at a glance it looks like a big, black blob but it is actually a beautifully designed flower. I think it needs to be lighter in colour so that the details may be seen and maybe a background colour that provides less of a stark contrast - but it was cheaper than most of the others so why would I complain?

This is the second mug that I have bought and they are gorgeous,delicate bone china and very vibrant colour. My only small complaint and what stopped me giving 5* is they place two ruddy stickers on the the cup which adheres to the delicate china like super glue. I have gave up trying to pick it off and have it soaking in warm soapy water to see if that helps.
