Basil Brush (HB)

This is one of the finest books ever written. The quality of the prose is outstandingand the breadth of the narrative expansive. It's a real page turner and will standthe test of time as the definitive biography and reference tome on Britain'sgreatest living entertainer.

Like many people I always enjoyed seeing Basil on tv. To read this book is a delight. To his fans I say: get hold of a copy, you will enjoy it.

Very funny book for a bit of light/toilet reading...

I bought it for a friend who loves basil brush and he was delighted with it, he learnt a few new things about basil that he didn't know before a*

And that is why I bought the book! It is a delightful book that most children would love, even in these days of computers.

I found my favorite foxes book online, I couln't resist buying the audiobook, read by Mister Basil himself. What i found was this.I did like the story. Ok it got a little corny and kiddy in places, like his 007-like-story, but it was an intresting read/listen(!). But something i found disapointing was the Basil Which read this sounded somewhat wierd. Ok, I'm used to hearing a Basil who says very little other than HaHaHa BOOM BOOM but this was a little wierd. However, it was really good listening, and I really enjoyed it.I think all fans will enjoy this story, old and young...even if it is written for the younger generations. Something to fill the stocking for xmas maybe, and definatly a funny, intresting story for everyone to enjoy.HaHaHa Boom Boom 9/10!

Although my Audiobook review is already on here, it doesn't really refer much to the text.This is a dashing story from everyones favorite fox, Basil Brush. The legendary character has written a book on his life, on the trip to the showbiz world.I wasn't quite expecting something like this. It's quite a mature book which adults could enjoy without feeling patronised since i presume this is for children. Its quite a funny tale and i think you will get quite a few laughs from reading this. So if you like Basil Brush, like light-hearted stories and want a good read- this is the book for you.9/10- Boom! Boom!

I'm not going to make this very long but if you love and cherish Basil Brush then this book is good.Thats all it is...good . There are many facets of the fox's character that were unexplored. It seems to be a cash-in in pursuit of the recent craze for nostalgia.Saying that it beats the usual bagpuss, button moon and rainbow crew so it can't be all that bad. Chris mc
