I was a little hesitant to get it as it didn't list San Francisco Musicbox as a maker and I know theirs are a good quality... However I was nicely surprised! It looks exactly as it is on the pictures....The music tune is simple but it sounds very pleasing...It's nicely made (solid painted resin) and it has a nice heavy weight when you hold it. I bought it for an adult. It looks great for decoration and it's more like a decor object, rather than a toy. It came very well wrapped with a card. It's a great gift for someone who is into this stuff. There aren't many good options on the 'ballerina' theme that don't look like a toy.

It truly is a beautiful Music box. It was a gift for my niece. What can I say, she absolutely loves it. Her father told me that she takes to bed with her.

My granddaughter takes ballet very seriously, and she recognized the melody immediately. She loves it!

This is a very pretty music box and much larger than I thought after reading some reviews. For the cost of this music box I would have liked if it came in a pretty box. Just a foam cover in a brown box does not look very gift friendly. Also the ballerina slippers are very small and not very distiquishable when you first look at. The music sounds ok but is very fast. Not sure I am keeping yet. Was very excited when I saw this for my granddaughter because she is very much into ballerinas this year, but will keep looking for an appropriate music box for her.

The item arrived broken yet the packaging was fine. And the slippers that turn around are difficult to identify as slippers.

Since I wanted a music box, listening to 18 notes repeatedly was not what I wanted.
