ProsourceFit Speed Jump Ropes

I've been using the jump ropes at my gym and they are horrible. Every time the rope got caught on my feet, it would rip through the flimsy plastic handles and be worthless. Finally I decided to buy my own, and this was the most reasonably priced rope with good reviews. I have used it for about a week now and it is perfect. It is lightweight, and you can really feel the durability, plus the adjustable handles are a great bonus. It is easy to roll up (like in the picture) once you're done working out and, in my case, put it in your gym bag and the next time you go to use it you wont have to spend 5 min. deciphering some tangled mess.

I only recently started skipping as an alternative to running outside due to the cold weather, and this rope is quite the product. Its very light and fast, with handles that allow the rope rotate so that you can keep your wrists set if you so choose. It's also adjustable and allows you to vary the intensity of your workout with the length. All around excellent value for money, and I'm already getting better at it. Stings a bit when you fumble and it lashes you along the arm, but that's a pain you get used to...no pain, no gain.

I originally bought the rope for double unders, the speed was amazing. Soon, not only doubles were attainable but triples. One morning while alone in the lab I theorized that a quadruple would be possible. They said it was crazy without bearings, but I wanted to prove them wrong damnit. So with a little WD-40 and some laser calibration, I began the experiment . In a flash of speed not seen since the atom bomb, a quadruple was replicated for just a few moments. A triumph, but sadly it remained undocumented. I began a journey overseas later that month to Cern. They scoffed at my theories. In the excelerator, combined with the rope, I was going to break the quintuple barrier . It would succeed or I would die. No one would stop me. We went from doubles to triples then to the world's first sustained quadruple, the intensity was blinding. Finally in a burst o light and glory witnessed not since the dawn of time , the universe seemed to freeze and I was suspended in air having achieved a quintuple. My mission accomplished, I went to the break room to drink a post workout smoothie. So yea the rope's pretty good, but I would have liked more heavy duty end-caps.

I bought this rope and within a week it was here! For the price, you honestly can't beat it. It's a little heaver than most speed ropes like the rogue ropes, but it is awesome. The only complaint I have is I use it in my garage and the rubber that covers the rope started tearing. It is still fully functional and I plan on getting a lot more use out of it. Overall, you get what you pay for a decent speed rope.

I got to use this last night when I got it in the mail earlier at Crossfit and was so excited. I am a huge Pink fan so to be decked out in Pink in front of my box was awesome. My Coach was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the rope and said it was a GREAT find! I also ordered my husband a Green one and his came today. He cannot wait to use his tonight! :) I love being able to adjust the rope to what I need it to be as I am short and all the used ropes we have at our box are either too short or too long. So happy to have one that is just right for me! :)

Cheaply made but very light- I defniitely got more double-under PRs with using this rope. However, I was very disappointed with the quality of the rope. After my first double-under, one of the bearings flew off. After a couple months' of use, the other bearing flew off mid-WOD and I couldn't find it, effectively making this jumprope useless. It was $5, so I guess you pay for what you get... but honestly, I'd recommend using another brand. This isn't worth it if you have to buy another rope soon after buying this one.

This rope is alright, not the greatest one out there. It's easy to adjust, but the little nuts are a bit flimsy. One of them just came right off while in mid-jump, causing the whole rope to come off the handle. So, make sure it's SUPER tight before you start using it. Most ropes you can cut to get rid of the extra length, this one needs heavy duty wire cutters. Maybe I just didn't have the right tools, but I tried cutting it at first with my multitool wire cutters; had to basically chomp down on the cable for about 5 min before I decided to switch to my heavy kitchen sheers which did the job. Now the ends are frayed, jagged metal wire and its hard to put on the little rubber piece at the end.

Can't get a better jump rope for this price. They are so cheap I would just buy a bunch of them and continue to use new ones if I beat them up. The great thing about these is that they are very fast. The plastic bearing handle is surprisingly effective. They twirl so fast it actually stings when you mess up. Good reminder to work on your form! The cable is durable and doesn't really kink, although I keep my Jump Ropes on a Water Hose holder that is round in order to avoid that from happening. I used one of them outside and tore a little of the cable covering off where it was hitting cement but I assume that kind of damage would happen with any jump rope being used in that fashion. I would advise anyone using these to tighten the clasp prior to every use because since they are adjustable, some people adjust them for their use but don't always assure a secure fastening. I have only had two occasions where people have launched an un-tightened clasp across the gym and we use the ropes daily. FOR THIS PRICE, YOU CAN'T BEAT IT!
