Okay but you might want to read it before gifting it
I heard that this was a great gift for someone who was grieving. However, I ordered it and some of the statements were too cheerful or hopeful for someone who is in the midst of severe grief. It may not "get better" anytime soon for them and they may not want to be encouraged in this way in the wake of a severe loss. So, in short, this might help someone who is struggling, but it might not. If that person is you, read with caution. It might be great, but it can also seem a little bit trite if you are facing a severe loss or severe depression.

Incredible book for people going through a tough time
I love MH Clark books and this is no exception. The book speaks to universal truths of going through hard times - grief, pain, turbulent experiences, whatever. The best part - it's very, very real without EVER being trite. No cute one liners in here, just simple words affirming that there will be good days and bad days, moments that feel impossible and moments the person will push through...and that all of this just has to be taken one moment at a time. That the person has not "lost themselves" forever, but is still in there. I gave it to two friends going through very tough times. They loved it. This would work for men or women (or non-binary or whomever!); the book is not gendered.

Perfect for grief
I first bought this for myself a few years ago during a hard time and have found myself coming back to it during each new hard time. I have sent it to various people I know going through hard times. This book doesn’t make everything magically better, but I always feel a little better after reading it. It is so affirming in the fact that it is okay to feel how you feel, but also hopeful for a better day. It does all of that without being cheesy or cliche. It’s just honest, and I love it.

I expected more.
I get the intention of this book and appreciate it, but really, I expected more. There are only a couple of pages that resonate with me and I really wanted this to be something I would open everyday and get a message that made me feel better. I'm reeling from the death of someone very important and this book really isn't helping my frame of mind like I hoped it would.

Wonderful Inspiring Gift
A good pick me up book. I sent this to my daughter while shopping in a small gift shop in the mountains. I saw the book in the shop and ordered it from Amazon right away. I thought it might cheer her up-living in California right now has been very depressing. She hadn't worked since February. (She just was offered a job:). Maybe this book comes with good luck too!!

really simple, short, too much money
This is worth $1. It's a tiny book I read in less than 5 minutes, full of quotes. I thought it was going to be an actual book. It's basically a picture book. Don't waste your money.

YOURE WORTH IT!
This book is a good reminder of your worth during the hard times, the times of doubt and worry. It’s a book I have sitting on my desk and read over a 5 minute period of time between patients when I’ve feeling defeated or down. Worth it! I love it!

A real, comforting gift
A family friend gave this to my mom when we lost my Dad in 2019. It helped her so much she shared it with me. It helped me too. Grief can be awkward because you know someone is in pain but often there’s nothing we can say. This book is a lovely gift to let someone know you care. I have given it to people and they greatly appreciated the gesture.

Love, Love, Love This Book!
I have ordered at least (10) copies of this book! Such a beautiful little inspirational read for those who need to be uplifted, and reminded that this too shall pass. I have added scripture readings on a number of pages for some of the people in my bible study that I have given them too. I'm sure I'll be ordering again soon as i find more people that can really use this reminder.
