INVELLOP iPad Air 2 case, Pink Leatherette Case Cover for Apple iPad Air 2 Cases (2014 Release)

The cover consists of a hard plastic shell with a hinged trifold softer hinged cover, both with the simulated pebble leather look. The interior is lined with a felted or suede like lining that helps protect the screen from scratches and folds back in the Apple-like triangle configuration for typing on the keyboard or viewing a video. I find when the front cover is folded back into the triangle wedge that holding onto the entire unit is very easy, somewhat like a handle. The openings in the hardshell back cover are such that the recharge port, headphones, on/off switch, volume, etc are readily available and not blocked. The navy color was is a nice subtle variation and was delivered from the vendor well packaged and quickly. Reasonable, light weight protection for carrying the mini in your purse or tote.

I wanted to get the Apple Smart Case but didn't want to pay $70 for it, so I looked around for what was the closest alternative and found this. What a great purchase! This thing is thin enough to not add much thickness, light enough to not add much weight, yet thick and strong enough to really protect your iPad mini. This thing is very well made. Fits like a glove and comes in many different colors. It also has the smart feature which makes the iPad turn on when you open it which is very nice and helps to extend the life of the home button I would think. The inside of the cover is of a very soft light grey material (regardless of the color you choose) which I believe is made with that material in order to not scratch the screen which is nice. However, the light color of the material means it can and does get a little dirty. This would be my only criticism, definitely not enough to subtract a star though. The way I deal with it is as soon as I see a little bit of dirt I wipe it down with a moist paper towel and let it dry; this so the dirt never accumulates. This method has worked perfectly for me so far. I would definitely recommend this cover. I later went to a few stores in person to check out other cases because I wanted to make sure I got the best one. I must have evaluated 30 different cases and couldn't find another case better than this one. Only the Apple branded one is as nice as this one but you could buy 3 of these for the price that you would have to pay for that one. Makes it a no-brainer for me.

The case I received had packaging which appeared to have been opened previously (perhaps I received a case that someone had returned). I would say this is a good case, but not great.First the cons:1.) When sitting flat the ribbed side of the case does not sit flush against my iPad. There's enough room between the ribbed side of the cover and the face of my iPad that I can easily see through from one end to the other while the case is closed.2.) The chamfered edges (especially in the corners) are not completely covered as INVELLOP's YouTube advertisement claims.3.) The magnet is heavy enough to engage the on/off feature of the iPad, however, the magnet is not strong enough to keep the case folded back as their YouTube video claims.Now the pros:1.) Super fast shipping. I ordered via free shipping and received my case in under a week from the time I had ordered.2.) Nice feel, not too bulky.3.) Much less expensive than an Apple Smart Case.4.) No hard plastic to scratch the back of the iPad when inserted into the case.5.) All phone jacks, microphone jacks, volume buttons, speakers, on/off button, charging port and camera are easily accessed with the case on.6.) Appears to hold the iPad snugly. I would doubt that the iPad will "fall out" on its own.7.) Overall very good quality.All in all, I'd give this a 3.5. Would I buy it again, hmmmm, probably.

Bought Invellop for my first iPad Air and this version for the iPad Air 2 is just as great.I loved apple's original 4-section smart covers with the metal hinge that could be removed and used to prop up the screen in either portrait or landscape. Paired with the matching SGP Griff back cover, it was the perfect solution for my iPad 2. Sadly no equivalent exists for the Air 2...I originally purchased the apple case which is more expensive (and yes real leather) but returned it. Why? I can only say that I felt the case was "in the way". I didn't like how your iPad sat behind a "gasket" that extended into the bezel of the screen to hold it in place.The Invelop case has a great leather-like feel that is not at all cheap. The case holds your iPad Air 2 securely without the "gasket" look of the Apple covers. It has sleep/wake magnets on the cover that also keep the cover gently attached to the back of the case when flipped open. The cover is also split into 4-sections (the Apple case has only 3) allowing a few different options for standing up the device at different angles.Would highly recommend to anyone.Pros:+ Leatherette has great, quality feel to it+ Case fits securely without protruding into the screen bezel+ 4-section cover allows multiple landscape screen-prop angles+ Sleep/wake magnets in cover+ large cutout at bottom allows solid connection with any 3rd party lightning cables+ Price is unbeatableCons:- Would prefer removable cover so it could be folded and used as a portrait-oriented screen prop

A bit more stiff than the ESR cases, but more long lasting too. I would recommend it to those whose OCD is triggered by seeing the dirt under their ESR cases since the back cover of those is clear. It killed me a bit to turn my iPad over and see all the dirt accumulating there under the clear ESR case, which meant I had to take the cover off and risk one of the buttons breaking off from the case, in order to clean it. So this is a huge upgrade from that torture device.
