WWE: Best of RAW and SmackDown 2018 (DVD)

I enjoyed all match selections on this dvd.

Lots of action. Loved it!

Anytime one produces a best of set, there’s going to be stuff that is included where one goes “How did that qualify as Best of Anything”? On balance though, I think the Best of RAW/SD set captured a lot of really good matches. Below are my favorites from each disc: Disc One: Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe, Asuka vs. Sasha Banks, and Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor Disc Two: Roman Reigns vs. Finn Balor and The Bludgeon Brothers vs. The New Day Disc Three: Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair, Dolph Ziggler/Drew Mcintyre vs. The Shield, and Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade Cien Almas. There’s also some clunkers such as: Bobby Roode and Jindar Mahal (why)? Nia Jax and Ember Moon vs. Alexa Bliss and Mickie James (obligatory Alexa Bliss match?), Dolph/Drew vs. The Revival (because heels can fight each other too)? And Big Show vs. Randy Orton. But the quality far outweighs the minor missteps and omissions and I would highly recommend it for the WWE fan who lacks the desire to sit through 250 hours of weekly WWE programming.

Once again WWE comes out with their yearly does of what happens on Raw and Smackdown.My major complaint is WWE is too cheap to insert the footage we as the home viewer miss due to commercial breaks like they did in the 1980s.

The first 2 discs are defective and will not play. I returned it twice with the same result.

Andrade Dean Ambrose promo AJ Styles v Daniel Bryan Overall it's hard to argue with the selection: Asuka, AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins and Nakamura all get multiple looks giving us a showcase of skills; The New Day bring the comedy; they could have had a number of Elias promos, but if we're only getting one, then it is rightly the hilarious Seattle one (for which he and Elias got MAJOR heat); and the must have (if only for sentimentality) returns of Trish and Lita. I think this could have used more Jeff Hardy as well as least one Matt Hardy/Bray Wyatt tag match (NOT their pre-recorded one at Matt's Ranch though) Otherwise though, this is a very, very good three discs at a great price.
