Dresden, on March 7 and 8, 1933
I didn't like the size of the book. I didn't expect it to be so much smaller than the usual Tintin books. Apart from that, this I a good Tintin book just like any other Tintin book.Authoritarian, narrow minded people who see themselves as progressive (but are not) would like to have this book banned. Some even wrote reviews just to say that they destroyed the book.Destroying books? It reminds me of something... what is it? Ah, I remember now: Dresden, on March 7 and 8, 1933

Perfect
Don't worry about the size of the book, it is NOT the mini version as stated below in another review, this one is the full size book.Amazon doesnt make it easy to know which one is which, but if you look at the details of the item, you'll see it is the full size (31cm), not the mini (22cm).Perfect condition, quick delivery, the book is beautiful and if you like Tintin, you'll love it. A must have for any "tintinophile", just like the rest of the black and white facsimiles.

An epic masterpiece
A masterpiece that finally found its way to my collection of original French/Belgian version of Tintin books in black & white. Great to see the the original thoughts and drawings, and compare them with the new versions. An epic book to me.Delivery went smooth as always. The size of this book is correct size, not mine or anything else.

Tintin au Congo
I needed this book for lectures on colonialism. It was a difficult book to get hold of because of its perceived racism and I was delighted to receive such a good copy. It fulfilled all my expectations.

Sadly deeply racist
Tintin is a wonderful series of books, but cannot avoid being a product of their time. While they all have virtually no female characters and are therefore implicitly sexist, this one is overtly and offensively (but unintentionally) racist. So, be warned.
