We have tested the (Chili-Trade) Hot Hungarian paprika in Jan 2021 and the lab results was 296 mg/kg which is Scoville scale: 4736 If you prefer hotter paprika you can search for our own branded Menol Spices Hot Hungarian paprika, it had a lab test of 925 mg/kg Capsaicin in 2021 which is Scoville scale: 14800 Most of the Hot Hungarian paprika has 300-400 mg/kg Capsaicin content therefore the Menol Spices Hot Hungarian Paprika is 2-3 times hotter than most other Hungarian Hot Paprika. What’s the best way to store this?

Hi The natural red colour of the paprika is sensitive to temperature, air (oxygen) and sunlight. It is best to keep it in an airtight container in a cool and dark place. If you store it up to 3 months after opening the packaging, just keep it in the kitchen cupboard in its textile bag and fold the inner bag to keep the air out. If you store it longer up to 6-9 months it would be better to put the paprika in an airtight glass jar and wrap the jar with kitchen foil. Regarding the temperature, in the summer or warm climate you can consider to keep it in the fridge in an airtight kitchen foil wrapped jar. If you want to store it longer or keep it as fresh and vibrant colour as possible, freezing it in a glass jar is the best option. I hope it helps. Best regards Menol Shop (Seller)

Yummy!

While it takes a bit of time for this to be delivered, I remember to order 2 weeks minimum before I run out. I can not imagine cooking a curry, stew or making some of my seasonings without this Paprika. Hungarian paprika does make a difference. If you want rich flavor, buy this one.
