Great 3-D puzzle
So fun to put together. Not for children.

my kids' and my favorite toy
I bought this marble parkour for my daughter's 9 year birthday. It is amazing! First of all, I have to say it's not easy to assemble because all pieces are designed to snap to each other super tight. I did all the snapping work, and my nails were quite stressed. It is a good idea to utilize two tools included in the package. I don't think my daughter is strong enough to snap them. Though you may think this is a drawback of the toy, I believe it's absolutely necessary to make the whole structure sturdy. I also love the way they snap together with mortises and tenons. Very smart and elegant. I had my daughter to take off pieces from boards and figure out how to piece them together. It was so fun to piece this complicated, delicate, and very well designed 3D puzzle together. We got the fun of being a carpenter when we put each module together and then wow at how smart the module works (like a programmer wow at nice codes). When the whole toy was put together, we were surprised to find out that the parkour runs the marbles endlessly. I had thought we had to pick up the marbles from the bottom and put them to the top of the parkour each time. It's not the case. The whole parkour is a continuous cycle, wow! My whole family love it. My 6 year old son was so excited that he turned the handle non-stop for an hour, lol I'm going to buy a different puzzle of the series next year. Thumb up!

Easy to follow - Takes a little finesse
Ordered in April came end of May. When it did it was all in Chinese (Box, writing, instructions). Contacted seller and they were very responsive and found an English version and emailed it to me. In reality the only thing you need in English is the 1st few pages that have the legend explain what the different graphics mean as you move through the instructions. Once you are in the step by step there is actually nothing to read...everything is visual by piece number and very easy to follow. They provide tools, a piece of emery cloth which i went through quick because i sanded every piece (which i recommend!!!) I got a few pieces of emery cloth from Home Depot. Lightly sand each piece to get the notches off and make sure they are smooth all the way around else you may find things not sitting flush or having to force a piece together and risk breaking. This is a no glue needed item and they do not provide it. I found i only needed to add glue to a few pieces of the ramps where they get weren't snug enough. I used a little Gorilla Wood Glue with a tooth pick to apply. After assembly it took a little tweaking to get the marbles rolling consistently and there were spots where they slow or stop. Also a few spots where they roll right off the unit. These are the spots you will need to tweak and finesse a little. This is one of those things that may be off by a millimeter and that's enough to take the smoothness out of it. OVERALL: I loved this thing. Looks great on my bar. I loved putting it together and i plan on ordering the rest of the Marble Run Series.

Fun project
Very nice kit and a great conversation piece once complete. It was easy to assemble. The parts are laid out nicely and easily removable from the carrier boards. You should have some basic modeling tools handy, but really, all you need is included. Use the included sandpaper to sand down connection points (very small areas where the pieces are attached to the carrying board.) These points are small, but should still be sanded down to facilitate movement. The instruction book is well written, consisting of very good graphic pictures showing each step clearly. Some steps could be a little confusing, so review your assembly pictures carefully for hints on proper orientation, etc. I had the large wheel installed backwards. Something didn't seem right, but I kept moving forward and didn't catch my mistake until several steps down the road. So, yes, I had to go backwards through the book and disassemble until I reached the proper step to find my mistake. So, if something doesn't seem right, just study the steps and pictures very carefully. If you have to disassemble it to repair a mistake, you basically weaken the joints a bit. But, overall, I thoroughly enjoyed building this. Just take your time. The parts fit tightly together. So, be gentle. You don't want to break any pieces. It will go together nicely, and you can then amaze your family and friends.

High quality challenging model.
Very well designed model. I am astounded at the quality of the materials this is made from. I just finished assembling mine. I took my time and it took about 4 hours to assemble. All of the pieces come lazer scored and numbered and you have to pop them out of the sheets of wood. There are lots of pieces and some very small pieces and I didnt break any popping them out of the sheet. They include PLENTY of extra wood pieces in case they do break though. The wood pieces are pretty strong and thick. Everything fit together snugly. When I was finished building I only needed to do some very minor adjusting for one dead spot in the track where the marbles would hang up and it was only because I hadn't seated the track in its support all the way. I gave 2 stars on ease of assembly because this is a difficult model as designated by the manufacturer. But that's what I wanted, something difficult. I will eventually be purchasing the other models in the series.

I’ve been pleased with the ROKR products we have built, and this is no exception. The craftsmanship is excellent, and they have plenty of extra pieces for things that might break or get lost. My 12-year-old son is very pleased with his marble run. It occupied him for hours on Christmas Day, and he was exposed to engineering and construction principals, like cogs, converting circular motion to linear, and how to use slope and gravity. Our ROKR products get used from time to time throughout the year.

Built it with my 8yo. Everything about this toy is incredible, he had fun at each step of the way checking what individual parts do. And a few days after putting it all together, he still runs to it in the mornings for a few extra turns. A few observations : 1- it is easy to separate the pieces from the wooden panels, but you have to be careful 2- we also used a nail file, wooden glue, tweezers (pressure and cut), screwdriver (used only as a light hammer), and a pin. 2a- The pin was cut when some delicate pieces needed repairing: would put glue with a tiny metal piece in the middle to be sure the structure would hold. 3- there is a lot of extra pieces, but we only broke those without spare, so be extra careful with pieces that have thinner parts. 4- it is great that the identification of the pieces are on the piece themselves, making it easier to find what you need. 5- my 8yo needed help because he didn’t have enough strength at times, and rarely needed a few tips. It was a team effort and very entertaining. We already have another set by the same company, and probably will buy more in the future. Can’t recommend it enough!

There are 2 columns' notch doesn't fit. It's not deep enough and I need to modify it to make it fit. The stairs sometime holds 2 marbles at a time but dropped back 1 when lifted half way. So it landed at the lineup of marbles behind and ended up on the floor. I now limited it to 5 marbles only then it works fine. It's not easy to connect them but it have to be tight to be sturdy. So, it's not really good for young kids to deal with. Overall, it is definately a piece of art!

All the pieces fit together perfectly, and it worked flawlessly after assembly. A little more sandpaper would be welcomed, but not a big issue.
