Burn nicely with a little crackling sound
These are great for my candle making, they burn nicely and make a little crackling sound. Mostly they fit perfectly into the little metal base which I stick onto the bottom of the candle container, one or two are sometimes a little thin and I occasionally need to double up to get them to be snug in the holder but this is rare

Good product, won’t disappoint
Good product! The wick are burning well with a lovely crackling sound. They are easy and quick to lit and the little metal stall coming with it was sturdy enough so it didn’t move much when I poured the wax. I didn’t need to double up the wick for small 100g candles. I also didn’t need to soak them in oil (I used natural soy wax) despite some reviews saying so. Overall very happy with the product, giving a very premium look to my candles.

Good but perhaps burn a bit quicker than I'd like.
In terms of looks and utility they are great, they really give a premium look to my candles so generally speaking I'd back them 90%, they do what they're supposed to. I do think they burn quite quickly though which has caused tunneling in one of my candles but that could also be the mix of wax I used, so not 100% certain that's on the wick. Their burn speed is my biggest challenge on recommending these 100% but I'm looking at the process I use before including them in a candle which is something you need to do generally with this style of wicks as the soaking in fragrance oil etc is crucial to their burning effectiveness.

They really do work / crackle
I have made two beeswax candles in tins so far. One with one double wick and one with two single wicks. I have soaked the wooden wicks overnight in avocado oil and they work really good. You also need to trim the wicks in an angle, really really short. I have not struggled to relight them yet, but one tip I got was to remove the black ashes to relight the wick again. The one with the double wick had really high flames, especially in the beginning. The other with two single wicks didn't have huge flames. Still not sure what I prefer. But they still crackle. Very pleased.

Rubbish!
Tried making a few candles with these wicks now and always the same outcome! Barely burn, and causes bad tunnelling in the candles so wasting over 50% of the wax. Shouldn’t be allowed to sell them. In my opinion you are robbing people! Your lucky to even get one star.

a bit of a let down so far
Didn't work well with a Yankee Candle jar and a single wick hence the 4 stars, but I will try again with a smaller jar and two and update the review. Update: tried with a smaller container still the same, I have only 1 smaller to try in but it seems they are just really poor quality

Avoid the negative comments
The wicks are perfect and literally have no flaws. I'm sure all wooden wicks are the same either way. Not sure why there are negative comments, newbies..? If you're struggling to light the wick, make sure it is trimmed down, close enough to the surface of the wax & light it on it's side. Wicks crackle as listed and do soot as expected, but they are nonetheless easy to use and affordable.

I never write reviews, so this is serious. These wicks are amazing!!! They crackle, I don’t need two of them with my natural wax and they burn like a charm. I love them!

I was sceptic because of the negative reviews but I got a good batch and I like it so far. With a shorter jar (lots of air flow) the flame was quite big, and there was a lot of smoke when I first lit it. The smoke alarm went off. After I aired out the room, it burned steadily. Lots of smoke again once the flame is put out, I would recommend putting a lid on the jar as soon as the flame goes out. With a bigger jar, the wick was more protected and it produced a small flame. I probably could have used two wicks side by side for that one too. The wood and the stands seem to be of good quality, I plan on re-using the stands because I had to cut the wick in half to use in most of my jars. I used scissors and there were no cracks. I use these to make new candles from of all the bottom wax left over after store-bought candles burn out. So far, happy with it.
