Mousetronaut Goes to Mars (The Mousetronaut Series)

My three year-old grandson loves this book. Apparently he wanted it read to him FIVE times one day! I like that adults can read the afterward and find out more about the story. Thanks, Mark Kelly!

My students like these books. I bought them as a fictional component to my solar system unit. The first book does talk later in the author's notes about how they took mice on a mission to study the affects of space on them. My students loved that tid but of information. Which led to discussions about how many authors are inspired by real events as a launching pad for their writing. I believe that all of the books in this series helps children develop a deeper sense of this character, and they loved finding out his next adventure.

Specifically asked the 6-yo which one of the Moustronaut books he liked better, and without hesitation, he picked this one. I agree with one reviewer that the writing was a little stilted, but I don't think the 6-yo cared. The book had great information about the space program and I ended up learning a lot. Indeed, the 4-page afterword taught me enough about the potential issues involved with a manned mission to Mars, that I was able to keep up my end of a very lively discussion of space exploration with a 6 yo.

Super cute book with fantastic illustrations. Go on an adventure with this mouse as he joins the crew to space. I use this in my class during space week. The children love the story and we root for the greatest mouse. I saw this at the museum of flight and I knew that my class needed a copy. We love the addition as well.

Mousetronaut is one of our favorites, and this is just as good. I love the expressive artwork, and the story is fun, too.

Grandkids love and great follow up from moon adventure

Purchased as a gift for our 6 year old grandson. He loves having the book read to him and I believe he will enjoy re-reading it when he can read all the words himself.

Lovely book, I used it in school to launch a rocket mouse project for the children. Great for capturing their imaginations.
