Great fun in a compact package
Our family really likes this arcade basketball shooter. It's a lot of fun and the timed games can get pretty intense to the point where we get some pretty good exercise out of it. It's pretty simple to put together (don't lose any of the washers since there aren't any extras) and it doesn't take up as much space as other similar games. It feels quite sturdy. I was happily surprised by the accuracy of the sensors. I've played on other basketball shooters and it's the worst when you make a shot and it doesn't count or you get double points when you shouldn't. That's almost never happens on this one. I'm not that in to all the music and noises (though my kids are) and it's nice that you can turn those effects on or off as is your preference. The return slide does fold up to save some space, but not much, and it would have been nice if there was something to lock it into place when it was folded up. Also, something to help manage the wires rather than have them dangle loose would have been great. I ended up solving that issue with some of my own cable ties. All-in-all, this is a great game if you have the space for it. So much fun!

Great fun and EXCELLENT customer service! Watch the video for assembly
I had purchased the single player Pop A Shot for my husband's birthday. When the item arrived, there were some minor issues - the scoreboard didn't work, I was having trouble with the sensors and I was missing two nuts and washers. I reached out via their e-mail and spoke with Brit. Brit was absolutely amazing! They were able to help me fix the sensor issue on my own and mailed me replacement parts immediately. No-one looks forward to e-mailing back and forth with customer service; however, Brit was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about the assembly of the item. They were able to help me quickly and I can honestly say I was smiling at the end of the exchanges. Today's times are difficult for everyone and to have someone in customer service who actually KNOWS the product, how to help, does so quickly and makes you feel cared about, is wonderful.Afterwards, I received messages from Pop A Shot to make sure I was completely satisfied and to let me know about competitions you can join, while playing at home. They also reminded me how to contact them if I had any future questions or issues. You don't even have to research how to contact Pop A Shot if you have questions, they provide you with all their contact information, including operating hours, with the item.As for assembly, I am a 53 year old female and I was able to assemble it completely by myself except for one part. I had to have someone hold the backboard while I put in and tightened the bolts because I am not tall enough to do both at the same time on my own. It is honestly easier to have two people for that part. I did find the Allen Key they provided didn't work very well. Luckily, I keep all Allen Keys whenever I assemble anything and had a stronger one from a previous assembly that I used. With that Allen Key, assembly was no problem. The printed instructions weren't the greatest; but, Pop A Shot does provide a link to a video that shows you step by step assembly. I think there is a link here on Amazon's page; but, if you can't find it, it is very easy to search for on YouTube. My husband LOVES the game. He finds it a great stress reliever and it brings him back to our younger days going to carnivals and amusement parks. He always played the hoops. He's looking forward toplaying with friends and our nephews in friendly competition.

So much fun!
Absolutely love this for our boys. Works well and folds up nicely when not in use.

So much fun!
This hoop is so much fun, be careful though, next thing you know you've been playing for an hour and your shoulders are sore lol. While it was pretty easy to put together, I would suggest getting someone to help you. The pieces are pretty big and would be difficult if you have to set this up by yourself. Otherwise my kids love it. Seems pretty sturdy, although one thing I've noticed is the netting on the sides can come loose up by the hoop. It's not a big deal, just adjust it and you're back in the game, just something to be aware of.

Pop-A-Shot Review (Pros and Cons)
I bought this as a replacement to an old one (different brand) that was quite old and was no longer functioning properly. It is for my family of 6 and is located in our finished basement. So far, the kids thoroughly enjoy it...as well as myself.Pros:- Fairly simple and straightforward to assemble. No real issues putting it together.- Nice option of games and variable sound levels/volumes- Fits nicely into a corner of finished basement (~8 foot ceilings). It's a little bigger than our old one, but not too much.- So far, seems pretty durable but time will tell with 4 kids and their friends playing with it.Cons:-Does not stay collapsed very well when not playing. It doesn't latch well and tends to fall back to its extended position. I'm a little disappointed with this because we don't want it fully extended all the time. We'll likely need to buy some sort of bungee cord, velcro strap, etc to keep it collapsed. There could definitely been a little more thought that went into this aspect of the design.- Kids have complained some about the ball retrieve being too deep (compared to their last one). It is a little difficult for the shorter kids to reach down and get the basketballs.I'd rate this between a 3 and 4 given the issue with it staying collapsed. If I can figure this out, I would likely improve my rating score. Overall, we're pretty happy with it so far.
