The shipping box arrived crushed and that, in turn, messed up the shade so badly it's unusable -- but I don't care because the shade it comes with is too short -- exposing the harp. I'm going to look for a longer shade that is also a different shape. The shade that comes with it has the spider rods at the top that fasten to the harp are installed in such a way that they look like dirt when the lamp is turned on. No thanks. I don't blame the condition of the shipper on anyone. Just mentioning it to help explain why the included shade won't work out for me. Now for the good stuff: The lamp is attractive and it was very, very easy to put together. I think it looks more expensive than it is. All the metal and glass parts seem to be of good quality. My photo doesn't do it justice. If you have one of Amazon's Echo devices, just put a smart bulb in the lamp -- one that's voice-controlled by Alexa -- and you'll never have to touch the on/off button on the floor. UPDATE: I've posted a photo of the replacement lampshade. I think it's a lot prettier than the drum-style shade that came with the lamp.

I love this lamp! It was very well packed, you really didn't need directions for assembly. the shade is awesome. The light goes up on the ceiling and down where you are sitting. It luminates the corner of the room you are sitting. It fits perfectly in the spot I wanted it go. The glass shelve is actually bigger than I thought which is great. It was a great value for the money as this is built very well. There is a floor switch instead of on the lamp it's on the floor would be bothered by children if you have any. They would be fascinated with their ability to turn it off and on!!

This light is very sturdy, easy to assemble, and ideal for space that is a bit too small for a bedside table. However, the switch mechanism is foot-operated, so you have to lean out of bed to turn it off at night. Thus, my four-star rating. If I were using next to a chair, I would give it 5 plus stars.

Bought this lamp for my mother. Assembly is easy, although the instructions could be updated to show 3 parts that were already assembled when asked to ensure all parts were included (wasn't clear because they list and show the 3 parts separately and their names aren't obvious - but I figured it out). Also, the specifications indicate that the maximum light wattage is 100W using the older incandescent bulb types or 12W LED type and yet it's common knowledge that 100W incandescent types corresponds in the real world to about 14.5W LED types. So, I am in the progress of contacting the company about this. I should be able to use a 14.5W LED with this lamp but not sure why the company limits it to only 12W. I will try to update this review if I find out. Overall, this lamp is a very nice and attractive lamp for its style.

My rating is only for the damage on the lamp i was so bummed had 2 small scratches other then that its very beautiful and I love it

Lovely, affordable floor lamp. Delivery: Surprised that the shade and lamp were not damaged, given the condition of the box when it was delivered. This particular lamp may have been a return. The interior packing materials were crumbly. Assembly: The lamp was not hard to put together. I was prepared to handle a weighted base. I had to adjust the tray and stem so the glass was not wobbly and the lamp was straight. Once these adjustments were made the lamp was fine. Assembly by hand did not take a long time. No tools were needed. Appearance: I think this is a beautiful modern-transitional lamp that looks nice in my bedroom with older heavy dark traditional solid wood furniture. This lamp does not have a 3-way switch so I swapped the LED bulb in the box for one that is the brightest one recommended by the manufacturer. You may not be able to tell with my picture but the room is very bright and cheerful with my bulb. It helps that the shade is white. It's all a matter of taste, there was nothing wrong with the other one. Overall: Pleased all around.

Arrived packed extremely well. Easy to put together. Very well made. I took the advice of another review and changed out the lamp shade for a pleated style. It looks so much more high end and traditional with such a small swap.
