I've had this air filter for a couple of years now and can say that it is definitely an effective product. I typically do 400 miles a week, a lot of which is motorway driving. I started hearing a few years back how being in areas with high vehicle pollution may lead to Alzheimer's later in life (due to the small particulates being breathed in and ending up in your brain). So even though I paid the early-bird price when this product came out it may serve me well later in life.I have an extremely sensitive sense of smell and can tell when I'm following a diesel car or a diesel van that has recycled chip-shop oil mixed in. If I change my cabin air switch to recirculate and turn on this filter all external smells disappear.My hay-fever symptoms also completely disappear after being in my car for 15 mins or so with the filter running.I looked into whether there was an aftermarket cabin-filter that had similar filtering and there was nothing comparable. I think Bosch was the best but it was not intended for such small particles.I definitely recommend this product.

I purchased this August 2023 and for our car and really love it. The problem I am having now is that I need a replacement filter and I can't find anywhere to purchase one. I've sent emails to the company and never had a response. So I am stuck with an air purifier that I can't use, because the filter needs to be changed. So is this going to end up being thrown away. I feel the company has no customer service. They don't even have a store on their website or give any guidance as to where to get replacement filters.

This is an expensive filter (an equivalent filter for your home costs a quarter of this) but it is effective at removing particulates from the car's interior. I tested it using a professional particulates meter, the PCE-PCO 2, and it reduced by 75% the number of 0.3 micron and larger particulates in the car within 15 minutes of turning on, from about 20,000 particles per litre to about 5,000 particles per litre. If the initial concentration is higher (e.g. from a very polluted street) I would imagine the percentage performance would be less. I wasn't able to test it for NO2 and VOC reduction however (NO2 is very important as this is a dangerous pollutant emerging from car exhausts) although I might be able to do that at a later date. This compares with the performance of the Levoit LV-H132 which I tested while scrubbing the air of a small child's bedroom. It was able to reduce the quantity of particulates by a similar amount, although it took longer. In the end, I am not quite sure what justifies the high price of the Airbubbl; it could just be that while there are lots of choices when it comes to filters for your home, this looks to be the only choice specially built for your car, and therefore has no real competitors at the moment, so they can charge a higher price. So I decided to reduce my rating by 1 star because of the price, although I think that the performance justifies 5 starts (conditional on NO2 and VOC testing however).

This has really improved the air quality in our family car. We have hay fever sufferers and asthmatics in the family so this is a fantastic addition to improving air quality and air filtration to our car for those times when we are more exposed to pollen which exacerbates symptoms. It is very easy to install in the car and straps nicely and very neatly to the back of the driver’s seat headrest. We are lucky enough to have a socket in the back of the car that we can power this from rather than having to feed the cable through to the front. It operates really quietly so doesn’t provide any distractions or get in the way of conversation of passengers. We’ve all noticed an improvement in the air quality in the car and are really pleased with the Airbubbl. Highly recommended.

I can recommend the airbubbl to anyone that wants to improve the air quality in his/her car! It is easy to attach and even easier to operate.
