Q: What are the dimensions of this pouch? We have two small(er) dogs about 20 and 13 pounds, will this overpower them?

I have a westie mix that weighs in at 29.5 lbs (she is longer in the back than a show westie and is all muscle), and it doesn't over power her. I have her rabies, city license, and microchip tags inside, and I left her name tag out--only because she is deaf, and I want people to quickly get that information if, she some how gets away. So far, I have been pleased with. You only stick the tags in one side of the pouch. I had a different brand a friend picked up for me at a dog show, and I loved it, but you had to place the tags on both sides of the pouch, and somehow he lost it and all his tags between our house and the beach. We never found them, and I had to pay to replace tags. This one, I like.

Q: I have an engraved tag and the metal loop broke off. Is this item a “pouch” I could insert it in & securely close?

In short answer, no. You need a metal hoop of some sort in order to attact the pouch to the collar. Since those tiny engraved tag hoops arent very sturdy to begin with, I take keychain rings, which are a lot sturdier and place all my tags on there and then attach them to the pouch. Works like a charm! Good luck!
