Klein Tools ET910 USB Power Meter and Tester, USB-A Digital Meter for Voltage, Current, Capacity, Energy, Resistance, Max Current

I used this in line with another mre complex tool from another vnedor and found that it was consistently reading the same values and providing them quickly and clearly. Given the Klein brand premium and the price of only 14 I expected it would be as rudimentary as I could possibly imagine, but instead, I found it useful and more rugged than my PCB based USB analysis tools. So this one can go in the tool bag without a problem. Surprisingly good.

Overall does its job. Just want to point out that don't mix up the ports on the output side of this tester. That is, if the input side of the tester is USB-A, you can only use the corresponding USB-A port at the output end; the same for the other USB-C ports. Even some videos show this as "broken"; admittedly it's not user-friendly, but arguably USB-C is more complex and some may even prefer one less middle-man (for example a user-friendly, hidden adapter inside the tester) if they are to use this tester with some other equipment.

This power meter is very versatile as it allows me to test voltage and current in USB connections. It can measure voltage from 3 to 20V DC and current from 0.05 to 3A (USB-A) or 0.05 to 5A (USB-C). This wide range covers most standard USB ports, including Qualcomm Quick Charge ports. With it, I am able to measure and display important information such as USB port voltage, current, capacity, energy, and resistance, providing valuable insight into my USB power usage on various devices.I would be nice if it kept the data after a low current draw or power cycle instead of instantly shutting off.It is important to note that USB Type-C connections operate with efficiency and safety in mind meaning the the charger will only supply power when it detects a device connected to the other end. If no device is connected, the power meter will not power up as it doesn't receive any power from the charger. This feature prevents unnecessary power wastage and reduces potential electrical hazards.

the Klein Tools ET920 USB Power Meter, USB-C and USB-A Digital Meter for Voltage, Current, watts, resistance all work great, just plug it in look at the screen, very easy to use. the graphics are not great but work with no problems, so many review say the USB-C does not work, the USB-C will not work on apple dc power USB-C device do to apple non standard USB-C dc power wiring the klein meter will not work, also the meter has usb input and output that must be correct or meter will not work properly. USB-C works fine with the standard USB-C DC Power wiring. Film and TV Engineering for 25 years.

Excellent. Handy AF! We'll worth $20. Same price as the cheap chinese alternative.

I have used this meter for both USB A and USB C testing and both worked great. The trick on USB C is that it cannot be converted to anything other than C in the entire path. That makes testing some combinations tricker. Over all it does what it claims to very well.

Great Klein product. Test feature is a huge plus. I Bought it to test loads on my usb/ plug and usb power supplies laying around .Does everything it advertises, easy to use

I use this a lot to test voltage and amps drawn by a number of USB devices hooked up to unknown USB power sources, especially outputs from monitors and computers. Great tool. Highly recommend.
