Perfect present and tradition.
I’ve done the elf on the shelf for all my kids, and it’s done nothing but create beautiful memories and good laughs for everyone.Comes with a cute book which explains what the elf on the shelf is, and the tradition itself. Considering that the doll itself is made of a light fabric material I would recommend it stays away from water.the sweater is cute, and id like to mention that the sweater has velcro so you don’t have to mess around with the elf too much.great product, and lots of fun!

I tried my hardest to avoid getting one…
I did my best.I absolutely omitted any and all information pertaining to anything elf on the shelf so my daughter wouldn’t know about it. I had preexisting notions on what I thought he was.You see when I’d look at the elves doing ridiculous things I was overwhelmed and completely put off.The kind of commitment and time these people have to come up with elaborate, crazy, over the top scenes was absolutely out of the scope of things I could to do every single day for 24 days.As entertaining as it could be for the kids, I knew I’d burnout or eventually mess up and forget to move the elf one day and break whatever magic my daughter thought he held. My time off of work was already full to the brim with family, outings, and entertaining. And having to add to all the craziness of the holidays wasn’t something I could actually do…But then it happened. My 5 year old came home upset that her friends would get to school and share all their elves antics and she had nothing to say. What could she say? She didn’t have one.Did this mean Santa wasn’t going to visit her? Did this mean she was already on the naughty list? Did her elf hate her?Absolutely not; she’s an exceptional kid. Logically it made sense that she wouldn’t need a spy elf… but I could see that my logical wasn't enough, I could see it still left lingering doubt in her heart.Which meant it was time that I reevaluated my perception of the elf’s purpose. There had to be a way for the elf to bring joy without creating havoc. So I told her I’d write a correspondence on her behalf. And we’d see how it would pan out.A few days later she got a letter from her elf along with a package from the North Pole. Inside was Grunckell (with his luggage). He’d heard what happened, grabbed his things, got shipped out and took a month long vacation to spend time with his favorite kid in Florida. Now that he was a guest in our home, we made a promise to show him the sights, and in return, he would share stories about his life in the North Pole; about gift giving, friendship, kindness and spreading cheer (all stories I knew she’d relay to me). But most of all, he was here to be with her.His luggage contained all kinds of fun things: tiny sunglasses, sweaters, and hats to prevent sunburn (his elf hat was stored away on out-days), tickets to the zoo, the kids museum, flamingo gardens and the frost museum. But best of all, she could touch him, she could take instax photos with him in all those places. He could see the zoo for the first time, touch a lizard, try ice cream, go for walks on the beach in the warm Florida sun.She could dress him, play with him, bake or draw with him, bring him out and about, and go to sleep with him in her arms.On Christmas Eve, she placed him (and his luggage full of photos and souvenirs) under the tree with gifts and drawings she wanted to give to Santa. He spent an excellent holiday with her and now it was time for him to go back home.So now her elf can share all the fun things they did together with his elf friends at NP Headquarters. He has the photos as proof, as does she.So although I was skeptical in my own right, well… Now I know I was too hard on him.I love Grunck, and I guess Elf on the Shelf too.

Beautiful Holiday Gift
I got one of these for my son last year. He loves watching the Elf On The Shelf mini movies. He was all too excited to get his magical elf. My nephew started watching them last Christmas and was enjoying them too. So this year, he will be visited by his very own elf friend. I love that this set included an outfit. I can't wait till the holidays so we can see what shenanigans our little elves get into this year! This will be a beautiful gift!
