Styptic Pencil in Crystal Holster 12g block by Laboratoires Osma

The product itself is excellent. The problem is the storage container was cracked and no cover on tube so it slid out of tube and broke in two pieces during shipment.

I'll keep this short and sweet. The pencil fell apart after three simple uses. For the record, I know how to use the pencil and didn't use too much force or anything. There's no handle for the pencil and for this overpriced item, you're better off buying the 94 cent clubman pencil at Walmart or from Amazon. Same exact quality but a fraction of the price.

I thought that the styptic pencil would be attached to the white cap that opens the tube, but it's not. Not a big deal. It is a good product. A bit overpriced at $5 for its size, but it will last a long time, nonetheless. I purchased this only because of free prime shipping and this was the cheapest single styptic pencil.

I like having styptic in both liquid "bottle" form and in pencil form... this particular product works very well and it does not dissolve as quickly as certain other brands of styptic stick I have used in the past. This is a "must have" for every medicine cabinet in the USA; it is not expensive and it works well.

I don't usually bother to write bad reviews, but this is a terrible product, and maybe I can save someone else from making my mistake.First the cylinder is covered in sharp protrusions. Rubbing it over your freshly shaved face is seriously uncomfortable. Eventually the surface will smooth out with use, but the irregular surface also means it wears down quickly.Secondly, it's very crumbly. It ends up breaking into little chunks. which are difficult to use, and again, wear down quickly.Plenty of other options out there. Steer clear of this one.

The product works, usually without leaving a powdery residue on my skin. That usually only happens when I've given myself major razor burn. I do wish it had a handle though. I'm not sure how sanitary a big stick of alum being wet and bloody over time really is, even if I'm the only user.

Hard to get excited over a styptic pencil but this one seems to work fine.

First, it arrived damp, soft and broken in two. Then when I took it out of the plastic case, one of those pieces broken into another two. It doesn't even work right so this purchase was a complete waste of money. Amazon requires a star rating or it would have zero...possibly negative stars.
