denby is a brand of quality over the years and so I did not hesitate to buy these placemats as a gift for one of my relatives. She has been very pleased with the design and the quality of course. They have a modern yet classic pattern and go well with a variety of her dinner service crockery. They are durable and and do their job very well while looking pleasant on the dining table. I do not begrudge the price but they are quite expensive, but in this case you are paying for better quality than those you might buy in a supermarket or similar.

I bought a lot of these mats last Xmas for a much more expensive price so when I saw these advertised at the cheaper price (£9 cheaper) I ordered some. The reviews weren’t great and I see why compared to the ones I bought Xmas 2018. However, the design is the same and I will buy them again at this price, the quality is fairly good and they are so pretty.

These are nice mats - good size, good weight, lovely design but .......... don't get them greasy or wet at the edges as they don't come clean (see photos).

Poor Quality bought 4 packs at least two in each pack were marked/ damaged

Normally placemats are about 17"x11" making them large enough to hold a plate, sliverware and a glass. These placemats are 12"x9" making them virtually worthless. They are good quality and match my Monsoon Chrysanthemum dishes but you can't see the placemats with plates on top of them. Since them were shipped from England and I would have to pay the return postage I guess they will just stay in a cabinet.
