This book, along with Book 2, provides a solid foundation to scales and chords. It can be used to teach children and adults - or for someone motivated to learn on their own!

Lets face it, scales are - well scales. This gives four pages on the major keys with pieces and chords in inversions. IF the students practice - they learn.

Disclaimer: Scales and chords are not actually fun. This book provides an excellent overview of the topic along with some great exercises. Adults will benefit also.

This item provides what I wanted for my students. Compact information regarding fingering and steps for the major scales. The exercises provide challenging fingering practice for advanced beginners.

I wanted to learn more about playing chords and this was very good for that. It was just what I needed at the time.

I'm just learning to play but this is a great book and i would recommend this book to my friends.

The cover is not as pictured, the book is marked in pen and pencil but not so heavily as to be able to be used. It suffices but not exceeds my expectations. Delivery was the last of the three I ordered.Thank you.
