Time-Saver Standards Site Construction Details Manual

I needed a very straightforward site construction guide to use for reference. It doesn't get more straightforward than this. The book is well laid out with one page spec sheets for each detail. Each page has a standard detail drawing, photo, icon-coded info re climate, application, estimated cost, maintenance, etc. as well as text explanations.I'm using it to draw details, but it would also be great for someone who needs to read and understand construction docs. It's the best concise site construction reference book I've found.

A good reference for landscape architects. Good for the homeowner who is familiar with some construction too. They give you details for different types of paths for example from gravel to brick and the installation cost and maintenance rating for each type. Steps, walls, paths, and so on, it's all here.One con is there's no explanation for why you need the materials or their purpose. This assumes you already know what an aggregate subbase is and what it does for example. Another is the designs included are very standard. I would have liked to see more special designs such as hanging/floating steps. So -1 star for those 2 cons. But this is still a good resource to have

The book is totally excellent. Very useful for landscape architectural practitioner.Yet, for the recent edition that I got from Amazon, printing quality is not quite well, comparing to the early edition.

Very informative text and graphics

This is a very solid book of site details perfect for professional practice. Provides direction on each details application based on use, climate, subgrade, and relative cost. It even includes information relevant to the materials/methods portion the Site Planning & Design ARE. I'd have given it five stars if the CD of CAD files had been included.
