Epson WorkForce DS-80W Wi-Fi & Battery Mobile Business Scanner, white - 15PPM

This is a well made and compact scanner, fits great in my laptop case. Works great wired or wireless, internal battery lasts well for wireless scanning, good buy. I was so happy with it after I told my sister, she purchased one.

This compact little scanner is amazing. It scans A4 width maximum, but that’s all I needed. So much quicker and less fiddly than a flat bed scanner and so small it takes up no space at all. It scans quickly and faultlessly, the installation is a breeze and the software is easy to use. Makes a change to buy a device that exceeds expectations.

About Easy to use, you still need a PC, but the quality of photos is quite ok for the price. I had non digital photos which I made them now digital with this device and is just fine

Great little scanner can be used wirelessly or via USB. Don't let the size fool you. This scanner is really efficient, quick at processing each page and a decent quality. Occasionally the page needs a little nudge but generally the page feeds through well. Really pleased with this purchase.

I purchased this item to scan receipts and invoices as I work as a bookkeeper. This product is great. Connects straight to your computer via USB and scans quickly and the images are really clear

For a one page private scanner that is portable and small, this is excellent. The software, however, could be way better, but it does the trick.

A portable auto-feed compact scanner of another brand was purchased some months ago to meet occasional scanning needs. A request to copy a laminated document showed its limitations in preventing such a thick item passing through its angled feed system; the "Epson WorkForce DS-80W Mobile Business Scanner" has a straight feed path so could, in theory, scan documents of several thicknesses around A4 width or less and also continuous documents of moderate length if necessary. This is powered by a rechargeable battery, can be used fully wirelessly via a WiFi connection or tethered via USB with up to 300 scans per charge. It has an optional auto-feed mode and can, in theory, accept various weights of paper-based material. Not realised until the User Guide was downloaded was that the scanner cannot be used with non-paper-based materials, specifically fabrics, metal foil and plastics including laminated ones. Certain others require use of an optional carrier sheet (to be purchased separately as an extra). It is wholly unsuited to certain uses for which it was primarily intended while the existing scanner will meet other routine needs. These and other restrictions and incompatibilities later mentioned are likely common to all portable sheet-fed scanners (a more expensive alternative brand listed almost identical exceptions). The scanner is highly portable, weighing a few hundred grams, and by not needing a relatively large power block will need very little desktop space. Handheld use is a possibility. While it could be carried in a laptop bag along with a laptop, there is an option for a custom fitted semi-hard case (not by Epson). There is, unusually, a small on-board LCD control panel to assist the user. Driver and software software along with a User Guide are available from Epson's support site. It is designed for limited regular use, a few dozen sheets daily, but not for stacks where a professional office scanner is an appropriate solution. It cannot accept embossed documents and the need to use a carrier sheet for certain types and sizes of original as well as those that are 'imperfect' which includes punched paper, those with staple holes or folded was not known in advance or mentioned by any previous reviewer; those situations are a serious limitation and render the purchase invalid.

Leggerissimo e funziona bene: unica pecca, utilizza ancora micro usb (usb 2.0) invece che usb C (usb 3.0) per la ricarica la comunicazione via cavo con in PC. Consiglio vivamente ad Epson di aggiornare il connettore: al momento non sono rimasti molti device con questo connettore, quindi a causa di questo bisogna portarsi dietro un cavo usb in più apposta.

Awful experience with this EPSON Scanner. I bought this scanner and the installation in Windows 10 went smooth. My surprise is that the produced scan is always white, after testing with several documents. Defective product out of the box! Awful quality control of EPSON
