Outstanding Value
This is by fare the best gas spout I have! With all the attachments this has It fits ever one of my gas cans from the 1gal to the 5 gal cans. The spout its self is very flexible and does not drip from the part that screws onto the gas cans. The little screen insert is a plus and the top caps work perfectly. The spout can be reversed in to the gas can for storage with the stopper cap and this works well on my 2gal and 5 gal cans. Combined this spout with a 1/2 inch breather cap and you now have a good old fashion gas can that works correctly and does not spill gas. I highly recommend this product. Hope this helps!

Finally! A spout that is usable!
I have been looking for a gas can that had an easy to use spout for at least five years. The new EPA-compliant cans have spouts that are hard to use, pour slowly, and leak gas everywhere. Between the springs, the buttons, and the other clever levers they are impossible to use! I purchased three of these as a test and they worked great on pre-EPA cans and post-EPA-influence cans and they work great on both styles! I plan to order three more so that all of my cans are using the easy to pour spouts. They give you two styles of caps (one fine thread and one coarse thread). One of my post-EPA cans fit one of the supplied caps, but the other didn't. However, I was able to use the cap that came with the original can with this new nozzle and it worked great -- no leaks. One note: If you have the post-EPA cans that don't have a separate vent then you may want to order "gas can vent kits" from Amazon. They are super easy to install and will make pouring faster and easier.

A welcome product, needs modification to avoid leaking
I like this product. This was used on a 5 gallon gas can/jug for a boat. It works well and eliminates leaking that was common with the new types of “safety” nozzle cans. Take care to add fuel proof washer outside of and under the vent assembly if you are modify a new design can. The snap in vent assembly can be slightly loose depending on the thickness of the modified can. You need to drill a neat, circular hole! Follow the instructions.

Great way to rehab those annoying (and worthless) CARB cans
If you're a government regulator and you don't have enough to do, it's natural to take a perfectly good consumer product such as garage doors, lawnmowers, washing machines, gasoline, pesticides, and light bulbs and ruin or ban it in the name of safety or efficiency. The basic gasoline can has been around over a century, but regulators decided that it needed "improvement" to reduce emissions, therefore the CARB-compliant gas can (or "portable fuel container" in bureaucrat talk) was born. These things are supposed to reduce emissions but as we all know they do the opposite due to their completely irrational design that inevitably results in spillage and waste. The nice thing about this kit is that one of the collars has a coarse thread that perfectly fits my Midwest metal jerry can. You'll have to buy and install a separate vent, but that's a small price to pay for a gas can that really works. I have a large yard and a riding mower, and so far this spring and summer I haven't spilled a drop. This product is a pretty inexpensive way to avoid a lot of unnecessary aggravation.

Replace all your spouts with these
I was tired of using the so called no spill spouts that come on all the gas cans now. I have 7 gas cans to fill my boat, jet ski and all my lawn equipment. Those no spill spouts leaked, spilled and were difficult to get to work correctly. They are awful and should be outlawed. When working around a lake, I needed true no spill capability. I turned to these and tried them on a couple of the cans. They are awesome, never spill and the kit has everything you need. I bought more for all my cans. You do need to drill a hole in you can to add the air vent but no big deal. I add a little gorilla glue when I insert that piece. In some cases depending on the can, I reused the can’s original spout piece that screws in to the can as opposed to using the piece that came with the kit. Just a better screw thread fit in some cases. They have held up now for a couple years with no issues and dozens of gas can refills. Never a leak or drop spilled. Buy these. Whoever is responsible for mandating those “no-spill” spouts should be fined and fired. They are terrible and cause waste and spills. They should be banned.

Dit not fit my older plastic Blitz gas can
The older 5gal Blitz gas can was sold at Walmart for many years. I estimate mine is a 2002 - 2004 model. I mean, if you're a company selling a universal gas can nozzle for older plastic cans, it should fit this Blitz brand first and foremost. Walmart surely sold millions and the cans last forever. Everyone I know has one just like mine Neither threaded cap option fit. The yellow was way too big and the black cap would screw on but was still a very loose by atleast 1/8". The spout itself which fits inside the cap didn't seal to the gas can opening rim well and barely covers it. Plenty of room for gas to leak out - gasket or no. It should cover the rim thoroughly with a good gasket to boot. The spout does have a very slim / meager rubber seal built onto it - but not nearly enough to seal well on my can anyway. The black cap has two protruding wings on the sides which hits the protruding stop built into the gas can. Why is this necessary? The yellow cap does not have these wings. Why include them at all? Even if it did fit, the spout is way too narrow - definitely not a high-flow option. The screen just makes it worse. I gave it a go - and it just leaked all over the ground. Might work on another gas can brand - but not mine.

They don't last long.
These were stored on the cans in a shed. Not in sun. Plastic on the spout got brittle pretty quickly. Ripped in the low part of the accordion area on the spout itself. Also the gaskets inside the caps get hard quickly and need replacement. Cheap quality but they are nicer than the safety garbage that comes on cans now. Just be prepared to replace them in a year or so.

Excellent replacement spout...
The insanity of EPA-mandated vent-proof spouts that do everything but pour gas easily into gas tanks is handily relieved by this set of adapters and spout. The good: 1) The provided spout worked with my can's ratcheting closure designed to keep the spout on securely. The two screw-on adapters were unnecessary in my case, though one fit fine--the other had finer threads than my plastic can. 2) The spout is solid enough to be used with confidence. I bent it over 90 degrees to fit it in my pressure-washer's gas tank and it didn't seem stressed. 3) The end of the spout fits in a car's unleaded gas neck. 4) No leaks at all once the spout and vent were installed. Negatives: none really. Advice: use epoxy glue to cement the vent in place after fitting it in the hole you must drill. I have a great gas tank now which pours easily and doesn't leak.
